The PS2 Shinobi ending was MASSIVELY disppointing. Especially given the fact that getting up to the end was a feat in itself, beating it just did reward you at all...
After all the good plot twists take place about 30% of the game prior, you get treated to a lame cutscene then a 15 second FMV that explains nothing... and that's the good ending.
The 7th Saga for SNES had a horrible one. You spend 60+ hours beating one of the most horribly, sadistically hard JRPGs ever, and your reward? You and your buddy get killed by the same evil god you just beat, and you get revived as the good god's son. In about 30 seconds flat. Then credits roll.
Chaser - The ending consisted of a cutscene showing you doing exactly what the bad guy wants you to do - and you get killed afterwards. Meaning the world would have been a better place if you had just died during the game. Yikes.
I found Secret of Mana to be a total anticlimax. You work so hard to get through a pretty epic game and then it just finishes. It's been a while though so I'm not sure if i remember it correctly.
But only because I didnt want the game to end thinking I might still get to play as Snake.
I must add, however, that all those hour and a half hour long combined cutscenes did setup the next two games in the series(The Patriots arc) , and quite frankly I cant wait to see how Snake handles the Patriots this time around.
I remember the ending of a Scooter-Game fr DC and PS1 who was really sick...guys runnig around in animal costumes.A bit like in a british comedy-show,but I lost the name of it.
