Well there's Halo and Halo 2, Forza, Chronicles of Riddick...
As for whether it will be worth it or not depends on how much you are going to pay.
I had an Xbox and loved loads of great games on it!
FPS's such as Halo, Halo 2, XIII, Chronicles of Riddick and many more! There's MGS2, Soul Calibur 2, Shenmue 2, the 3 GTA games, KOTOR, KOTOR 2, Some Tony Hawk games, Jade Empire, Serious Sam 1 and 2, Forza Motorsport, Psychonauts and more I can't think off of the top of my head.
EDIT : I could've listed more, but I found This thread so, buy everything on that thread and you'll be happy :D
Man, I really wanna buy more Xbox games.... I loaned all of my current ones to my uncle XD
i say you should get the xbox. bought mine about 10 days ago. i walked into gamestop and said i wanted one. they pulled one from the back and it was the green halo edition :D i was like hells yah. i bought it and breakdown for 60.90. since then ive purchase fifa 2004 and pgr1. ive also stolen fable:tlc and halo 2 from my friend. i have a snes genesis wii n64 gamecube ps2 and a killer gaming pc and all and all i think the xbox is my favorite buy so far.
i give it a 8/10
not to mention and my gamestop theres a ton or games for 2.99 and under. you could take 10 bucks in and get like 6 games if you played your cards right. i love mine.
Just some of the good ones from my collection.
I love my Xbox. The original is the only reason I bought the 360 over other consoles. There are so many great games for it, but it never got the credit it deserved. Personally, I haven't regretted buying my Xbox even for a second. Here are some games I loved:
KOTOR 1 & 2: The first is one of the best RPGs I've ever played.
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey: The only game to almost move me to tears. The best adventure game released on consoles last generation, and one of the best game stories of all time.
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth: A creepy, freaky horror game. One of the scariest on any platform.
Fable: Flirt with middle-aged bald men, until they demang an engagement ring. Give one to them, get married, have the sex, and then beat them within an inch of their lives while they tearfully demand divorce. Enough said.
The Chronicles of Riddick: One of the best games of the last generation, and one of the only movie spin-offs to actually work.
Jade Empire: A beautiful open-world RPG with an Oriental flavour.
Ninja Gaiden Black: An extraordinary game. Hard as all hell, but everyone should try it just for the brilliant combat and great graphics.
Deus Ex: Invisible War: Didn't get spectacular reviews, but this was one of the most enjoyable Xbox games I played.
Shenmue 2: An adventure game like no other, with an amazing fighting engine.
Morrowind: A vast sprawling western-style RPG. The biggest and longest game I've ever seen.
Breakdown: An ambitious but flawed FPS/First Person Brawler.
JSRF: Japanese take on the skating genre, with grafitti, crazy soundtrack, and beautiful cell shaded graphics. What's not to like?
Mercenaries: GTA in a warzone. You could raze almost every object and building in the game to the ground, and the explosions were breathtaking.
Plus many, many others. Xbox is simply not just an FPS console, like so many people here try to make out. It sadly had no JRPGs, and every other genre was well represented.

None at all? Are you sure? I mean, I don't really, 100% know what fits into the classification of a JRPG, but it's hard to believe that there aren't any on the system...
I'm not calling you out on this or anything, just wondering.

Definitely get Phantom Dust. If you have friends that come over, you should try and get them to buy it also (it retailed 19.99 so it should be like $5 now). The single player is odd (good story, fun gameplay... yet somehow it adds up to be less than the sum of its parts) but multiplayer is fun. Me and my roommate used to play it for hours on end.
Get KOTOR 1 and 2. 2 has a really good story but its slower and it has hella glitches and constant loading.
Prince of Persia: Sands

None at all? Are you sure? I mean, I don't really, 100% know what fits into the classification of a JRPG, but it's hard to believe that there aren't any on the system...

There was one. Sudeki. Other than that, none at all..... No wonder Xbox didn't do well in Japan. It was a crying shame, because I like JRPGs. But they were all PS2 exclusives.

That's the one that I was thinking of... Heh.
That's too bad. I had a lot of fun with that game, and I could have done with some others similar to it.

What about Phantom Dust or Shenmue II, if you want to count those...

I actually have both of those as well. I love Phantom Dust, though I didn't realize it was a JRPG. I haven't tried Shenmue II yet, though.
max payne, max payne 2, red dead revolver, star wars battlefront 1 and 2, far cry, mercenaries,Well there's Halo and Halo 2, Forza, Chronicles of Riddick...

Sadly, 99% of the games you listed are already out for PC, and 50% I have for PC. I'm not into FPS, or racing, as I use my PC for those. I was more curious of the games that actually use the Xbox originally. Someone mentioned steel battalion, and I must say it looks interesting. Anyone else have a game that is original, and cannot be played on a dream-cast/ps2/n64/or PC? If I see more it will defiantly warrant a purchase.dd99steel battalion if you want that then you have to dish at least $100 (Due to the whopping controller it come with)
