Hello, I've been thinking of importing a Super Famicom (Japanese SNES) for quite a bit. But, what do you guys think? Is it worth as a collector's item, or should I save my cash for something else?
btw, I love the design of the Super Famicom :D

The design of the Super Famicom is almost identical to the European PAL SNES. IMO it does look a lot nicer than the US version Which Japan-only SNES games do you want to play?Hello, I've been thinking of importing a Super Famicom (Japanese SNES) for quite a bit. Nismology
Isn't the region lock on the NTSC north american SNES just two little pieces of plastic that can be removed from the console deck?
I have thought about this too, but I decided that there aren't enough japanese exclusive games that I'd be willing to pay extra to import one. You might feel differently, but the US library is more then sufficient for my needs :)
if you want to do it at a ollector perspective.....if you wanna play jp only games such as final fantasy 5 (srry can't help it. i love ff lol ) and other stuff, don't bother, you can play sfc games on an snes easily you just have to cut these useless plastic things out of the thing that you put the games in.... it's easier and safer then it sounds tho :D
