Thoughts on The Evil Within

So yes, the gameplay trailer has been out a few months. But after watching it again I thought "Is this Resi 4 in an asylum?". Yes, I know this is from Shinji Mikami and yes, Resi 4 is a good game. It just wasn't a good horror game (at least to me).

I am looking forward to it but the house part especially made me think "Action?" whereas the chainsaw guy made me think "Stealth?". I just don't know what to think about this game.

I'm not too worried about whether it's a legitimate horror title or not... because it's Mikami, and I know that more-than-likely I'll enjoy the crap out of it. I've been hyped since Project Zwei and it's still one of my top 3 anticipated.

it'll probably be a "darker" RE4, which would be perfect.

Needs more co-op.

It's by Mikami so I'll more then likely enjoy it a lot.

It looked a little rough from the gameplay I saw, and hospitals and asylums are such tired settings, but I loved REsident Evil 4 and Vanquish so I have high hopes for this.

Can't be any worse than 5 and 6 in the horror department

Im interested but its definitely a 25 dollar or less game for me.

Alot of people d!ck ride Mikami, which is weird since this is just a niche genre.
