It looks like a guilty pleasure game. It will most likely bomb in reviews and sales but I can't help wanting to play it.
Looks like it will score in the 3/10 range, but I still want to play it. I don't much like the excessive gore, it's not what Rambo is about for me (the fourth movie didn't even feel like Rambo).
It also looks like a complete canon nightmare: Rambo in his Rambo III outfit killing cops in the forest from First Blood Part 1? What? lol
Oh and his face lol
lol it looks awful, and it's from a developer that has only ever made shite and lots of it.
I certainly won't be buying it, but good luck to anyone that does
Ah.. 80's action movies. When one man could take down a country without even knowing how to hold a machine gun. *muzzle sweep* *muzzle sweep*
This game looks terrible, even from a nostalgic point of view. Also, John Matrix could kick Rambo's ass.
As a former soldier, i have to laugh at that :P
I was interested in the game until I found out that's it's a on rail shooter.
It has on-rails sections but it's not a railshooter, more like a standard FPS

just like COD, so what is the difference then?
Oh come on, you know i am right :3. In this game at least you get to play as Rambo, even if the gameplay is mediocre

Fact is, it doesn't look mediocre, it looks like a trainwreck. It's the star date 2014 and game companies still haven't figured out how to spread budgets for movie licensed games by convincing movie studios to accept sales percentages. As a result they blow all their budget on the license and have to hire the cheapest iphone candyquest developer available.
Absolutely terrible. It's laughable that a game like this is getting released in 2014 and they charge full price for it.
Maybe if it was $5 psn game.
The first serious contender for the worst game of 2014.

Telltale have managed it, also the Lego games aswell

One could argue that making a point&click adventure is easier and cheaper than making a shooter: no AI to code, no engine to license, much fewer bugs to contend with.
LEGO games, well, they have been reskins of LEGO Star Wars for a decade.

True, but they manage to make a charming world, with great stories. And the open world in the recent Lego games are impressive. You can't deny someone finally manages to do something great with these licenses. You can't really say Activision or any other company have done a lot with them

Sure, and for the reasons I was saying before.

True, but at least they give an effort. Lot of these licenced games are just cash grabs
