The 'Timesplitters' games have always been my favourite console FPS. Crytek bought Free Radical Design (Crytek UK) and put Timesplitters 4 on hold claiming "they would continue the project once there is a high industry demand for such a game." What the hell does that even mean - 'for such a game?' I got so friggin' confused by that. Personally, I think the people at Crytek are Maimouphobic. Get your arses in gear!

I think the franchise was hurt by TSFP. I think they would've been better off focussing more on what made TS2 so great ... multiplayer (splitscreen), fast gameplay (framerate), more game modes and customization (challenges and assault), and mapmaker (without bugs). I think the single player story mode was a just a distraction for the developers and in the endhad a "me too" feel to it.

I thought there were some really good moments in the single player of TSFP. I'm not a mutliplayer person, so if they had only focused on multi, I wouldn't ever consider the game.
