Titanfall, who's not excited by it and why?

Titanfall is out next month but i'm not excited by it for 3 reasons (1) Its Multi-player co-op only (2) If your internet connection is terrible you won't be able to play it (3) Even if you find friends to play the co-op campaign with you and they are rubbish your stuck! Your opinions please

Not interested because I'm not a fan of those types of games. Plus I'd have to have a subscription to Gold just to play it. No thanks.

All fair points, but it sounds like you're not in the game's target market.

(1) I know most people who play FPS games like Titanfall do so for the multiplayer.

(2) I understand that not everyone has an good internet connection, but I wouldn't want that to hold back games. Clearly, there are many of us who have the internet speed needed for online play.

(3) I haven't played Titanfall, yet. So, I am not sure about that.

I'm very excited for the game. Played the beta on my Xbox One and the game played absolutely marvelous, day one purchase confirmed.

I currently play 3 different COD games, 2 multi-player, most days so saying i'm not in the games target market is slightly unfair. Internet speed issues e.g. will put a slot off from playing it. To be fair my wireless net connection is better but the fundamental issue is that single player is a type of game guide preparing you for the multi-player experience and adds more value to a games hefty price tag, not to mention the inevitable season pass

it just seems like one of those games that is more worried about whether i can play it than if i want to play it. the huge number of bots will probably mean i can get more kills, but defeating bots isn't as fun as defeating other players. fast respawns will mean i'll be less likely to be discouraged if i die but the rush of actually playing will be lessened.

maybe this kind of decision does expand the game's potential audience overall, but that expansion wouldn't include me. if i want to play a game, i'll figure out how to play it. it doesn't work the other way around.

It likes like an alright game. It's just not something I really wanna pay $60 for.

Not impressed. There are a few good ideas I do like. Like the epilogue and the bonus cards. The grunts however should be less predictable and more random in locations and way more dangerous. As it stands now, you can predict where the grunts go, line them and rack up attrition points. A good team could get those grunt kills mad fast, call down Titans and troll the shit out of other people who don't know what the **** is going on.

The weapons are boring and the game play, despite being a step up for console shooters, is still too slow.

Plus the skill cap feels absurdly low.

and also I don't have an xbox one and wouldnt install this crap on my pc since i think it requires EAs virus infested Origin scam

i'm not a fan of multiplayer shooters

Shooters come out all the time, this one has no single player, and I'm more or less done with vs multiplayer in general, so yeah, not a drop of interest in my case.

I burned out on competitive multiplayer shooters six years ago. Nothing about Titanfall convinces me to start playing them again. Besides, my twitch reflex days are over, and I have better things to do with my gaming time.

I don't play a lot of multiplayer shooters, but the beta kind of won me over. I like the sci-fi themes, giant robots are fun, and the gameplay is solid and entertaining.

I think a part of the reason this game is getting so much attention on forums as well as the news section of gamespot is because there's really nothing else this month? :\

Personally I'm not too fussed over it, I'm all FPS'd out with CoD and Killzone. 3 mutilplayer FPS games to play within 3 months of each other... for me the genre is saturated right now. I might get into it a few months down the line.

theirs nothing wrong with fps games, i personally love them, i just hate online multiplayer and that seems to be all fps games are about anymore, and it gets old hearing about it in every topic. and its not just on here, its on every game site! wish people would give it a rest, me? i'm waiting on Thief, screw Titanfall and its multiplayer only buzzkill..
