Just wondering how involved he is in making the games his name is on. Does he write stoylines or anything?

They are based (or were based) around some of his books... Tom Clancy is a novelist

Yes, Tom Clancy is an author focusing on military action novels and non-fiction.

But he has become a franchise. He helped found Red Storm Entertainment (which recently got bought out by Ubisoft) but he's not directly involved with the games, narrative or otherwise.

The games just have his name on it.

He doesnt even write most of the books that have his name on them anymore, he just "approves" them.
