Xenogears, Suikoden 2, Secret of Evermore, FF8, Azure Dreams, and Illusion of Gaia are some of the best RPG's of my lifetime. They forever changed the way I perceive the world, the way I think, and in general set the standard of what a true RPG masterpiece should be about.

From playing so many racing games, with only 10 choices available, Gran Turismo is the only racing game I can recall doing more than just racing. Every license was challenging. Every car was different. Every music was exceptional and every race I did was exceptional, especially those long, rainy nights. It also educated me about cars, about models, parts and so on. Top Gear II would've taken the spot if Gran Turismo II didn't exist.

Star Craft 1 is without doubt the most skill cap, properly balanced, action packed strategy game with such a great theme, music, and battle net on top together. The best without doubt.

I've played a lot of MMORPG's but SWG Pre-CU comes first by far. Ultima Online 2nd. SWG Pre-CU made me feel like I was part of the Star Wars universe and I was thankful for skippin every single high school class to sacrifice more time experiencing the world and making my own saga from a rifleman to a druid engineer, and after a long road eventually a light jedi padawan, who eventually became a knight, through many months of struggle against the many bounties and their coverts chasing me across planets for that big bountry reward.

HEre are some of my favorites...

Majora's Mask, Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Silent Hill 2/ Shattered Memories, RE4, Wind Waker. Not necessarily my top ten (although Majora's Mask is my GOAT) but the games listed are definitely up there.

On the note of discussion....**** final Fantasy. I haven't played the newer ones, but IV is one of the most brutal and unforgiving games I've ever played. The pseudo-real-time combat really agonizes me when I'm trying to analyze my enemies weaknesses. It's like playing chess but your don't have to take turns. Make it real-time or turn based, not some twisted hybrid.

Better yet, **** final fantasy and go play Knights of the old republic or fallout.

Wired. Last night I had a dream where I was in class and my teacher was asking us students what were the top 10 best games. Students were saying a lot of older games and I suggested Mass Effect 1 and the Tales of series. My teacher didn't know if the Tales of series was one game or multiple and she was having a difficulty time with that.

Is this a sign?

The last time someone did a top 10 topic was April 2nd, so I have no idea where people are getting the notion this type of thing pops up every 3-4 days unless they don't know how to count.

Anyways I'm just gonna do a top 20 since a top 10 is just too stressful lol.

Actually my list changes all the time cause im constantly replaying games and going through a 30+ game backlog. Also it's not hard discussing what people think of a persons top 10 list, they can agree, disagree, comment on why they went with a game ect ect.

The only lack of discussion is the people who don't post and or don't care about someones top 10 list. The decline in the sites traffic also hinders topic traffic, a lot of people have left after the redesign.

Cool, no one actually cares though.

Except no one ever does, because no one actually cares, and this doesn't justify why all of this "discussion" can't be kept in one topic.

The gameplay engineering, the graphics, the sound and the hardware supporting all that has changed so so so much between the release of the NES until now that I think it's unfair and nonsensical to compare games in the 80s or 90s with the games released in the last 12 months, for example. But maybe it's just me seeing things like this...
