Doom- Wolfenstein came first, but Doom was better.
Medal of Honour: Allied Assault- Not only a fantastic shooter in its own rights, but the game that spawned other WW2 titles like Call of Duty and Brothers in Arms.
Half Life- 'nuff said
Deus Ex- While there are other FPS-RPG hybrids out there (like System Shock), Deus Ex is hands down the best.
Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield- The best game in the series with its tactical gameplay, customization and teamwork.
You should really change title to first person shooters, when you say shooter I think or R-type, Gradius, Parodious, Axley ECT ECT ECT.

Ikaruga and Radiant Silvergun cry out for attention as well.
Ok well i said shooters becuase Gears of War, Ghost Recon, Lost Planet and so on are not first person, they are third person. So i said "shooter" because I ment first person third person and so on. I dont have to list them all. Its not a big deal.
Well since I`m not a big FPS gamer I like these games: Halo CE, Return to Castle Wolfenstien, Call of Duty 2 & 4 and Rainbow Six Vegas. Also Project Snowblind is really awesome for such an underrated game.
