What 5 (if you can limit it to so little) games changed your life? Not just 5 that took most of your time but the ones that changed how you think or live or even do things.

Theymightevennotbe your most favourite ones. (although if you didn't like them they wouldn't really make an impression)

Illusion of Gaia/Illusion of Time...one of the last sentences of a soul you meet in the end of the game...he said:"What good are religions good for? They only brought war, death and sorrow to the world"...we even see today that it´s more true then most people whould like.Me included.

1)Super Mario 64 (the first game I clearly remember beating.)

2)The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (I nearly **** myself running to my friends house to tell him what happeed when Link turned to an adult.)

3)Diablo 2 (Bonded with my friendswith this game, and made alot of new ones online.)

4)Final Fantasy X (The First FinalFantasy game I ever played and beat. The storyline was great and still sticks with me today.)

5)Grand Theft Auto 3 (Can't say much about this game except that it changed the way I looked at games forever.)

I don't think games have ever changed my life or way of thinking. Well, they kinda make me want to become a graphics artist for games and movies.

For me personaly it is:

1)Dune2-itreallygotmeinteresstedinRTSgames

2)Half-Life-thefirstgametotinglemyfpsinterests, hours of sleep was lost that I'll never regain. Not even to mention some of the mods that followed after this.

3)C&C-IncreasedmyloveforRTSeven more

4)StarCraft-friendshipswereruinedandcreatedbythisgame, legends were born and even more sleep was lost here.

5)Battlefield - I thought I died and went to gaming heaven first time I played this, what other game (back then) gave you the option to not only have a great team based fps experience but you could hop into any plane, boat, caror tank.Thisgameevengotmygirltobecomeahardcoregamer.

Moon Patrol - My folks had this arcade table version in the cafe' they owned - couldn't get enough of it as a small lad Streetfighter 2 - Still holds up as a great 2D fighter - took so many of my coins Command and conquer - Really opened my eyes to RTS games Phantasy Star Online - My first proper online experience and took over 1000 hours of my life with it Gran Tourismo - showed what a driving game should be... set the standard! .

1) Indigo Prophesy-this game opened my eyes to a forgotten genre of games called the adventure games, not alike Zelda or anything THE adventure genre, things like Dreamfall, and Runaway. This game need mind over anything to beat the game as finding hidden objects and following usually a very complex story are the means of this game.

2)Sonic the Hedgehog 2- As I played this before the first Sonic, I fell in love with platformers making me go back to play classics such as Mario and the such just to love them even more. Sonic is the reason why platformers are my favorite style of games.

3)Call of Duty- This was the first game that I actually truly played online. First game where I joined a clan. First game where I was at the top of the list of some of the best players. This is when is started to really want to play online competitive gamming, leading me to play more Counter Strike, Dead or Alive, Gears of War, and even Pokemon Diamond/Pearl

4)Wii Sports- This game showed me that having fun playing games doesn't rely on graphics it now depends on how its played and how funny it is to watch someone try to bowl

5)Golden Sun-In this game it was the second RPG that I beat fully (FFVII was the first), with a great story and long gameplay, along with great graphics, this opened my eyes to keep an eye out for RPGs as I believe they will take over the world.

Super Mario Brothers (NES) - I had spent time in arcades and with the Atari 2600, and while I liked video games at that time, I wasn't overly into them. But after I saw Super Mario Bros for the first time everything changed. The characters were big and bright, and the visuals were just trippy. Who would think of a game where Italian plumbers grow by eating mushrooms and are attacked by flying turtles? This game pretty much sealed my fate as to where I am now.

Final Fantasy (NES) - Not only did this game kick off my interest in RPGs, but also going to Renaissance festivals. Yep, this game is responsible for doubling my geek factor. Still for a while I almost exclusively played RPGs, so this game definitely set my tastes for a while.

Adams Family Pinball (Arcade) - I spent a lot of time with this game, and it sparked my interest in pinball. It actually sort of helped create a bond for my dad and I too as back in the day he played a lot of pinball too. A few years later we got another pinball machine (featuring KISS) that we kept in our house and would play that quite a bit.

Diablo (PC) - This was the game that introduced me to online gaming. It was limited, but just being able to play a game with people I never met opened up an entirely new world of gaming to me.

Harvest Moon (SNES) - HM opened my eyes to the world of niche gaming. A farming video game?? Why the hell would that be fun? Who knows, but it certainly is. After playing this I became a lot more open to games I might normally dismiss for being too odd.

metal gear solid: It made me realise that a story is everything and the stealth idea is brilliant(even though you could do the old rambo bit if you wanted to) and for its time it was very original.

Dark Chronicle (cloud 2): It introduced me to the world of RPGs with a soft landing instead of the hard crash I would have hadif i rushed straight into the big guns (ie Final Fantasy) mainly due to the hack and slash combat system.

Tetris: Oh come on its the most addictive game ever. I spent whole chunks of my life trying to beat my previous score!

CTR (crash team racing): My first 3d video game. Not the first one I played but the first one I owned and that is a lot more memorable and life changing than the first one I played.

Alien ressurection: the first game to make me s**t myself and leave it alone for years. I play it now and realise I soiled a perfectly decent pair of undergarments for no reason but I was only 9 and the atmosphere of the game is really chilling.

not sure about life changing as such? Can only think of one game that has had a impact and thats battlefield two, but thats only because thats where I met and joined a clan www.clanrttc.com - we meet up and have a great time gaming....and even if we are not gaming we keep in contact as mates. I think thats pretty cool for a game to help you meet new friends - even if they are "virtual friends"
