My favorite console of all time hands down!

But with Gamestop not buying GC games anymore, I got a little bit nostaligic. My local stores don't have a very good stock of GC games, but lucky for me I've got a vintage game store near me, so buying quality games isn't a problem. But I still can't help but looking back on all the great times I've had with it. Here's actually a top 5 list.

5. Playing Animal Crossing and finally paying off my house and having it decorated just the way I wanted.

4. Playing 007 Nightfire and Timesplitters 2 with friends for days on end.

3. Buying my first M rated game, Resident Evil 4, and having a blast with it.

2. Playing Mario Kart Double Dash with my brother and beating every single cup on 150cc and Mirror Mode. Baby Luigi and Paratrooper FTW!

1. Super Smash Brothers Melee

So, I'd like to know what other's favorite time on the Gamecube was.

The most memorable moment for me has to be experiencing the graphical leap from N64 games (perfect dark, banjo kazooie 2) to GC's Rogue Squadron/Metroid Prime/Sunshine/Melee. I said wow.

Sure this console was a great surprise! I remained really hooked to some fluid and gorgeous graphics, sound is not less, but above all affords to run some exclusive great games along some classics in reworked graphics. Gamepad is comfortable and ideal for shooter games i found. In its generation comes easily after PS2 in my opinion and definetly so close

I called in sick to school three days in a row when I got F-Zero GX. Nothing was going to keep me from that game.

"Eternal Darkness" - Best horror game EVER.

"Metroid Prime" - **** You, Omega Pirate.

"MonkeyBall" - Tell me it's not brilliant after playing "Target" with friends.

"Metal Arms: Glitch in the System" - Best 4-player game on the system and a great campaign mode too.

This is definitely a console I have to spend more time w/. I have played it for dozens if not hundreds of hours but literally all of them have been w/ the GBA player. I have not fired it up for an actual Game Cube game yet. I will have to get to something on it once I am done w/ Shenmue on the Dreamcast... Trying to decide if my first run should be Star Fox Adventures or Wind Waker.

Gamecube was the first console I ever bought with my own money, and I loved it. At one point I had over 40 games for it, but unfortunately I either traded in or lost most of them. It also sucks that my brother lost the system on me, but I plan on eventually getting another one. I love the Gamecube as well, probably not my favorite of all time but in the top three definitely.

Most likely a lot of you in this thread magically became GC fans after the Wii came out, so this thread seems odd to me.
