I cannot find where to delete my account from the Gamespot numbers, so I figured I would post this until I get banned, which is well enough for me... (this is attempt #2)

I used to think that I could come here and receive impartial, unbiased reviews. After the last few days though, its become clear, that the almighty dollar wins yet again.

No matter how Gamespot spins this, Jeff Gertsmann was fired over his review, which led to decreased revenue. He was not allowed his own voice on a "journalistic" site.

The user soapbox is gone from the main page. The hell is up with that? More higher-ups noticing the groundswell from the users...

For everyone else who is angered by this, why do you keep coming back? Does no one care? Is there no common sense amongst the numbers at this website? I thought to myself that I'd continue coming just for the forums, but even then I dont want to contribute. I'll go elsewhere, thank you.

Seriously....from someone who made it through their childhood by escaping reality from time to time through video games, f u.c.k you Gamespot. F. u c. k. you.

....more rants, if anyone cares:

Now, hopefully one of the smart-ass mods or admins will come along, read this, lock the thread, and hopefully ban me for having the nerve to criticize them. Please do, it will help me, since I'm not given an option to delete my account, as long as it's gone, then I'm fine.

Moderators can't ban people, but I can help you if that is indeed what you want. Why not think about it for a bit and decide if that's really what you want? A ban is permanent. There is no reversing it should you change your mind.

As for your question of why I'm still here, the truth is that it doesn't feel right to bail without knowing all the details, and it also doesn't feel right bailing on a community that has been so damn good to me, even when I haven't. I think everyone's reasons are their own, and that there isn't a right or wrong here. It's a very personal decision.

Regardless, PM me if you want your account nuked, and I will do what I can to help you along.
