Anyone out there play TurboGrafx16? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it was the first 16 bit gaming system.

Yes, I owned one briefly back when it was released. I had Keith Courage in Alpha Zones (it's still kicking about in my room somewhere) and some caveman game where you played this bald kid named Bonk. It was okay, but I wasn't really a big fan. Soon after that the SNES was released and then I never looked back.

I used to have one years ago when I was younger. Had it until the day my brother traded it in towards a SNES. We had a number of games for it too: Bonk's Adventure, Bonk's Revenge, Keith Courage, Vigilante, Military Madness, Devil's Crush, and Side Arms. Good times...

If I recall correctly,the system had a 16-bit graphics chip,but was based around an 8-bit CPU,so it wasn't a "true" 16-bit system.

I love the PC Engine, it's right up there with the Neo Geo AES for me. Great games, great fun!

My uncle used to have one. Keith Courage was the first game I ever remember liking. I must've been about 4 years old. Military Madness is still my **** I have copy of the PSx version and it's worth a bit of money now. Sidearms was tight. Galaga 99, Final Lap Twin. Haha, nostalgia.

Yeah, it was a great underrated system. I've been playing its games through the Wii's virtual console.

Blazing Lazers was a great space shooter....Military Madness was a good strategy title....and imported Hot Blooded High School Dodgeball with pcengine adapter. The pinball games Alien Crush and Devils Crush were excellent.

Neo Geo and Turbo-Grafix 16 are two systems from that era many may have missed. Turbo CD had Dracula X which was supposed to be awesome like Symphony of the Night. I enjoy playing both even today.

I never had one. I never saw one on stores in Quebec. Now, I'm playingsomeTG16 on the Wii Virtual Console. I have Neutopia 1 and 2, Ys Book 1 & 2 (it was a CD game), Shockman andSoldier Blade. I might try some Bonk games. I heard that Bonk's Revenge isthe best.

You mean the PC Engine???? In Japan the PC Engine (Turbo-Grafx 16) was second and the Mega Drive (SEGA Genesis) was third.

I still have my Turbo. Good times for sure. I really liked Legendary Axe, R-Type, and Ninja Spirit. I remember being impressed by the games being on a card. I felt that was very advanced!!

I own a Turbografx-16. It's a very good little console, especially if you get the TurboDuo to go with it. Lots of outstanding shooters, and it's impossible not to smile whilst playing Bonk's Adventure.

The most underrated console ever! 16-bit graphics with 2 8-bit cpu's working together. I mowed lawns all summer long when I was a kid to get one! Still my fave.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. :) Underrated console for sure. The Turbo Duo was even better, since it played both HuCards and CD's.

I felt the same way about the card. I thought it was advanced. I never owned it, but played a few games on it, namely Rtype and some ram head caveman game.

YEAH! I grew up on one, great stuff. All my games and controllers for it still work perfect too, and it's older than me(I'm 14). =) Those Turbo-switches and the CD player were a nice addition too...but I wasn't too fond of the fact that it only had one controller port...=/

youre right about not being offically released in Europe, but they were available from some game stores, they were essentially imports from the US. ive never owned one though.....
