i have been debating with my friend which of these two great games are better he says ocarina of time and i say twilight princess will you guys help us out
Ocarina of Time was far more innovative and groundbreaking. Twilight Princess is a great game, but it didn't really bring anything new to the table. However, as another person mentioned, A Link to the Past is better than both of them.
OoT by a long shot. Twilight Princess was just... boring and repetitive.I just didn't like the game at all, and is the only Zelda game where I've had no interest to complete the game. To me Twilight Princess shows Zelda has lost its greatness.
Twilight is a rehash of ocarina. Ocarina has a lot more life to it, and far better dungeons/music.Free_Marxet
It's not a rehash at all. With that said, Ocarina is probably considered better because it's the original 3D masterpiece that set the standard for all modern games in general. But Twilight is probably the better game since it's more recent. Still, Ocarina does seem more inspired and timeless.

Ocarina of Time. Twilight Princess has too much that can be improved. Ocarina of Time's improvements are few and hard to find. Then again...this is a matter of opinion. and to throw it out there, Majora's Mask beats both. snap.
Ocarina of Time. Once I had finished TP I had no desire to play it again. Many parts of the game felt like a chore and it didn't really make much progress from previous Zelda games, if any. Of OoT, WW, MM, ALttP and TP, TP is probably the worst and least enjoyable.
