Uncharted 4 may be getting great scores because its a great game but here are some Stupid things that no one talks about .And don't worry I will keep this spoiler free even tho there is some silly spoiler related stuff in the story but that will not be talked about here

After playing through the new uncharted ( Uncharted 4 a thief's end ) I thought i would make a list of all the silly things that don't make sense please feel free to add your own below

1. Stealth

for the first time in the franchise's history naughty dog took extra time crafting a stealth mechanic for this the new game . But here is where things get silly this is the only game that doesn't have a silenced weapon despite the added emphasis on stealth and a few trophies tied to it . uncharted 2 had a silenced pistol that was used in one of the early missions that uncharted 4 pays homage to. And uncharted 3 had a silenced Uzi it seems odd that after adding a detection system and better A.I. they would forget to incorporate a weapon to match.

2.Mo Money Mo problems

unlike previous uncharted games this one comes with a microtransaction store to boot which seems a little insulting if you spend a lot of money on the collectors edition just to be told that your fan favourite characters are locked in multiplayer behind (uncharted points ) the currency used in the game and after playing a lot of the multiplayer i haven't found a way to unlock the currency without paying real money

3.Lights , Camera and no action

the title for this point may seem misleading but here me out again to reframed from spoilers i will be having a dig at the multiplayer which comes with Uncharted TV but this is the silly part it only plays the multiplayer trailer on a loop because they took out the machinima editor that was present in Uncharted 3 and uncharted 2

4. The Road ahead

Uncharted 4 has a long story that ends with a rather silly point that may get touched upon in the upcoming story based add-on DLC after completing the game you will take a nice sit back , reflect on the story and dive into the multiplayer and that's really the big silly thing here . Dynamic maps , co-op , horde mode , 3d weapon viewing and more have been taking out and added to uncharted 4's roadmap that will run until winter 2017 now this makes sense commercially they want you to play the game for longer to increase its longevity but here's the silly part they will probably release the content at inconsistent times . This is coming from someone that bought the new hitman which makes you wait anywhere between 6 to 1 o clock in the morning to play something you can finish in 10 minutes

5. Clones come home

Uncharted 4 has a new customization system in which you unlock items by chance with a crate bought in the store the problem here comes when there is 4 drakes that all look the same running around the map . If your a long time fan of the franchise you may be saying so where is the emblem creator or my own customizable avatar . Well short answer gone and this is the silly thing they have the avatars from the 3rd game but there now called sidekicks which i never understood and you will have to go with me on this one to understand my reasoning . in the uncharted 4 multiplayer you can unlock characters from uncharted 1,2 and 3 but the sidekicks are generic characters and for all this new game pays homage and fan service to its predecessors i don't understand why the sidekicks arnt from the series like say the supernatural forces think of how much more sense it would make seeing the yeti from uncharted 2 be the brute sidekick or the stealth sidekick be the monsters from uncharted 1 and it would fit the theme since the multiplayer portion you unlock a thing called mystics which are boosters inspired by the supernatural forces from the franchise

and that's all the things that i find silly in uncharted 4 that i wanted to tell you guys and gals

sorry this is a quick list but i just wanted to jot these down when they are still fresh in my head

have a nice day and thank you for taking the time to read got any things you think are a bit silly in uncharted why not share them below

None of that besides the silenced pistol missing seemed noteworthy. Every new ps4 and Xbox 1 game has micro transactions and story DLC.

Cover based third person shooting with regenerating health and two weapons at a time is the absolute most dull type of gameplay there is.

People say that the story gets them through it, which kinda blows my mind since Uncharted has writing about on par with a totally average action movie from the 90s. Nathan Drake is a horrible character and every attempt at being "funny" just makes me want to cut his head off.

There's nothing terrible in Uncharted... It's just really mediocre across the board. Except for the visuals, damn it looks good. Good graphics don't a good game make though.

Although I must admit, since it has been out for a week now, I haven't really heard anyone praise it. Interesting for a 10-rated game...

Nah, I'm good. The one or two games per year I feel I miss out on don't justify it.

Maybe next gen, though :) I almost bought one last time.

I finished it for the first time yesterday on crushing difficulty, and after experiencing the whole game, I've to say that I'm really surprised at all the perfect scores. I thought the gameplay was average and the story wasn't particularly compelling (even if it paved the way for some truly incredible moments). The graphics, animations and overall presentation are second to none, but I'm afraid Naughty Dog's flair for state-of-the-art worldcrafting got the best out of reviewers which ended up ignoring some of the issues the game has.

• Stealth works, but is uninteresting. As the OP said, stealth has been revamped to the point were it now appears to be completely functional but is still severely crippled by its lack of depth. There's no way to lure or distract guards, as well as to plant traps.

• The game has an overabundance of checkpoints because of its chaotic and imprecise nature and seems to rely more on luck than on a mastery of its systems. Encounters in the game are shorter than before and yet, in a one minute encounter sequence, the designers manage to cram two checkpoints. A lot of the time I had to restart the encounter (and wait 30-45 seconds of loading) because I got killed while making the final jump that finished the escape sequence, and instead of having me redo the whole sequence (less than one minute) the game puts me just before the jump, it's ridiculous and insulting. The game is just too afraid of losing the player.

• The AI companions are terrible, especially on the higher difficulties. They always get in the way and since you can't command them to stay behind or do anything at all they end up being just nuisance. I love the Elena that appears during cutscenes and scripted sequences, she's smart, capable and a joy to be around, but I can't help but hate her during the enemy encounters, she's useless! (The same goes for Sam and Sully.)

• Companions want to move on, they lack curiosity. For the first time ever, there are interesting collectibles in an Uncharted game! I loved exploring the game's wonderful environments very much, but I was frustrated by the fact that companions sometimes get stuck waiting for you to advance the plot in a specific point when you know there's an optional conversation just around the corner that now you can't activate because the AI is fixated looking at the main point of interest. I was often afraid to interact with the world because I feared that it might trigger a sequence of events that would render the place inaccessible for the rest of the game. This is a common problem in video games yes, but Uncharted 4 does nothing to address it.

• Enemy encounters were a mixed bag for me. There's practically no way of procuring ammunition outside of an encounter and even when you know there's one coming (because of the level layout) and you're surrounded by Shoreline's supply boxes there's no way to prepare. Also, I'm surprised at the amount of times I died during escape sequences (the ones where you're supposed to just run in one direction while you're getting shot at), I died a lot of times (on crushing) and in the end it appeared to be just a matter of luck since I think you're not supposed to get killed in those if you behave accordingly to what the game expects from you. They appear to have compensated those cheap deaths with the overabundance of checkpoints I mentioned above, but I don't see that as a solution really, they could've implemented an algorithm to make the baddies miss when you're escaping or pulling off some unbelievable stunt, because it's really frustrating to die under those circumstances. Sure, I could've played the game on an easier difficulty, but I found games like this to be frustratingly easy on anything but the highest difficulty and I don't think that a player's ability to make use of a mechanic should be exclusive to a particular difficulty or set of them(I'm not referring to the marking ability which is unavailable on Crushing but to the rope swinging mechanic which is simply suicidal during combat encounters). And because of the way encounters are set up, the cover system is extremely unreliable on higher difficulties where precision is required, especially with the AI companions getting in the way. I don't think UC4 did this differently than its predecessors, but still.

In conclusion, Uncharted 4 is a really fun and beautiful game, but lacks replayability and the cutscene/gameplay hybrid sequences so common in NDs games are particularly painful to replay, in my opinion. I'd definitely recommend the game as a "must play" if you own a PlayStation 4, but I don't think it's as good as some people would've you think. In any case, I just restarted the campaign again to try the game on hard this time and see if I can enjoy the combat encounters better, but based on my experience with the series, I don't have great expectations for that since I'll probably be frustrated by Nathan becoming the proverbial bullet-sponge.

Microtransactions are your fault, as gamers who are willing to shell out huge sums of money to pay for something which should be unlocked via skills and progression, not cash. You created this environment, deal with it.

the positives and negatives are pretty much what they are/were in all the other Uncharted games. We'd pretty much be repeating ourselves. The only semi-new elements were the open vehicle sections, which were really well done....plus people don't seem to talk actual games in this forum as much as they talk hype. Once the games actually come out, you rarely see much discussion around here outside of "should i buy this/that." But there are at least 3 threads going on right now for this game, so that's kind of a lot.

Personally, my only problem with the game was that for a finale, they should have focused on telling a story that brought all the characters we already knew back together rather than centering so much around a new one, even if it is Nate's brother. I realize that nate's brother represents the pull of his old life keeping him from being able to move forward with Elena and blah, blah. But man it would have been good to see Chloe show up with a bazooka on her shoulder.

You can unlock characters by doing the daily challenges and getting relics. Buy the chests then wait until you get then, it's really fair I've gotten at least 4 characters and different outfits for then.

This was not a problem in the first game. I seen so many people blasting the first game but the first game was very gameplay focus and did not rely on cinematics. Everything cutscene was skippable allowing for easier replayabilty. I am not saying it was flawless but it did get that aspect right.

Adding to your list would be the frequent "Can you give me a boost?"/ "Can you help me with this?" I find those moments too frequent and too intrusive. I just want to play and not be hindered/paused by some generic activity. It was even more annoying it visually didn't make sense. I felt that it was implemented to mask loading but I can't be certain of that.

I haven't played Drake's Fortune since 2008, but I believe you are right about the game. I was particularly disappointed by the final boss fight, but at least it was short and still relied on the game's established mechanics even if it lacked the depth of other enemy encounters because of its cinematic ambitions. In any case, I agree with you in that the focus on gameplay over interactive cutscenes ensured higher replayability for the title.

As for the obstacles that require companion interactions, yes, those hindrances were never interesting, but I find the puzzles to be a bigger nuisance after the first playthrogh. They should've relegated those things to cutscenes (or allow players to skip them after completing them once) in my opinion.

You didn't get a bugged by the fact that they always looking for a way for Nate to find his way up when they both are equipped with a rope and hook? :D

Nope, Sam's been in prison for the last 15 yrs, not exactly a place to practice one's rope and hook techniques.

there is nothing exciting about this game .
