Have any of you ever played a good RPG game on the retro consoles, and it becomes so underlooked that there isn't hardly anymore future games? I believe that one game I know and love to death is the Breath of Fire legacy. There were only five, but I was seriously hoping that there would be a next gen sequel to the 5th installment BoF Dragon Quarter, or a prequel of somesort.

Yeah I remember and cherished that game still to this very day. But, although there was a never some sort of sequel to SMRPG. Probably since it was also developed by Square/Squaresoft/Square-Enix.

O_o' holy crap I remember that game. It was an action sidescroller with RPG elements in it. God that game was fun. Although I don't think I hardly remember the sequel that well. Then again, I think it was a prequel.

That was a surprisingly good RPG. Also, Mystic Quest (pretty much should have been called Final Fantasy).

Not sure if it can be considered an RPG but i think Soul Blazer was really underated.

Otherwise maybe final fantasy Mystic Quest.

I am in total agreement with regards Soul Blazer. I wanna put Lagoon and Secret of Evermore out there as well.

Those games sound pretty interesting. Wonder if I should get those imported? Oh, and Soul Blazer? I remember that game, but completely forgot the name. The game was just excellent, and a really big classic. But going back a little further. On the NES, besides Final Fantasy, what other RPG games did they have? I'm a little curious since I've heard much that the NES had a huge array of video games both good and suckish back in it's time.
