Amazon's a great place to buy used games, just make sure to check the comments & seller rating.

It's not really Amazon selling it, but rather hosting a store for people to post their own stuff to sell online.

I use it all the time for old NES, SNES, and Dreamcast games. All been great so far. I think Amazon has a little insurance policy where if you get scammed they'll give you your money back, and they'll ban the seller from selling stuff on that site again.

Also, I have yet to order a game from Amazon that didn't come as promised, so imo it's definitely worth looking into if you want to find old games.

Just ordered Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia from there last night! Can't wait for those to arrive :)

Yeah Amazon is fantastic. Some friends have had issues on Ebay buyign used games from people and getting ripped off, but not on amazon. Ive had no issues buying and selling.

I think Amazon is great for the seller and the buyer for used videogames. I have gotten some great prices for older xbox, ps1 and DS games that people where looking for.

3 more of my games sold yesterday :D

Just make sure the game is in good or very good condition, and the seller has a high feedback rating. If you have a problem, it's very easy to file a claim with Amazon and they'll get you a refund, usually within 24 hours. I've ordered tons of used stuff from the Amazon sellers and overall had an extremely good experience. Saved a whole ton of money as well.

I have only bought 1 off of Amazon but people seem to forget a lot of sellers from Ebay sell on there too so it is still a matter of reviewing the sellers.

ive done it for a coupple of N64 games its great because some of them are alot cheaper than eBay sometimes, the only downside is you cant see what you are paying for but they do have a description of the game that the seller has and anything like a ripped label would be mentioned. just the other day I scored a mint copy of perfect dark for a $1 with fast shipping too

Also check out half.com, it's part of ebay, personally I rank it equal with Amazon for individual seller quality and integrity, but if Amazon.com themselves are the actual seller they are the highest quality seller around by far.

I buy used games from sellers on amazon all the time. As long as the seller has a good rating you should be fine...

HOWEVER, I have had a few problems with buying gameboy games. In several instances I've bought GBA carts only to find that the save function in the game won't work (i.e., you save the game, turn it off, then on again - only to find the game you just saved has erased itself). I think this is a problem for a lot of old gameboy carts. This happened when I bought Aria of Sorrow as well as another GBA game I can't remember right now. I'm guessing very few sellers check the save functions on the used games they sell.

This most likely won't be a problem, but it's just something to look out for.

Yeah, Amazon is a great place to get whatever you need. If it's $10.00 for it used, and if it's in good conidtion, that's considered a great buy. It will be more expensive if you happened to find it at a Gamestop.

Amazon is fine for used game purchases if you do a little investigation of who you are purchasing from such as feedback, BBB ratings, etc.
