Valve banned 60k+ accounts

Over the years, CS:GO community has been complaining about the usefulness of Valve’s anti-cheat engine, VAC. This was because, in-game hacks and cheats have been spreading like wildfire, especially in the CS:GO community.

This is also the main reason why many CS:GO players switched to softwares like Faceit and ESEA as their anti-cheat engines were far, far superior than VAC.

According to the Steamdb, the Valve Anti-Cheat ban wave sets all-time record with 60k+ accounts banned in just a single day.

I don't understand what this topic is about.

People are complaining about VAC because cheaters are spreading like wildfire...but Valve is also banning hundreds of thousands of accounts? That makes it sound like VAC is really working well.

Really doesn't surprise me, Dark Soul games are also pretty terrible to play on P.C. due to hackers also, that's why serious PvP is done on Xbox or PS4.

Who cares anyway, since WftO went GoG I've mostly jumped ship on P.C. platform, with only rare exceptions; because I like some early access games still in development. Still, all honestly dislike the interface and never liked the policies in place for Steam, it's a burden, not to mention selling games that don't work without Nexus and Forum dwelling research

Steam and Valve are trash, and have been for awhile now. Either find another software provider on P.C. or primarily become a console gamer. You'll be a happier gamer because of it. And that's not even going more in depth with how many games have hackers online, which should just be accepted as an unavoidable platform nuisance I guess; at least most hackers are terrible at games

Has xBox Live or the PSN ever had to ban players on this scale before?

@Planeforger: I know they are trying hard but the thing is there are thousands of cheaters and to ban them all is the most difficult task, but when I Play competitive these cheater sucks a lot
