Does anyone else here suffer from vertigo and/or dizziness when they are playing certain games? Just wondering how rare my case is. Recently I picked up a great game, Bioshock, and I was able to play through it once but I couldn't really play for long periods of time because it would make me dizzy and I'd have to stop. It seems to happen to me when I play games that are designed in 1st person view, not really with games that are 3rd person view. But recently I downloaded the demo for Stranglehold which is 3rd person and the same thing happened. I was dizzy within minutes of playing and had to stop. Stranglehold seems like it will be a really great game but I don't think it would be worth my $60 if I can't finish it.

This happens to me if the music was too loud or if I played for too long.

Some people do if they are tired playing first person games, like riding the rides in RC3.

The only thing that's made me dizzy recently is the sprinting effects in Airborne... I had to turn those off, because they made me really nauseous.

I've played a few games that have made my eyes water. I think it was one of the quake games that did that to me.

I never get dizzy when I play games, but I can sometimes get dizzy watching other people play and FPS game. For some reason watching someone else jerk their view around when I'm not in control can get me nauseous.

It used to happen to me a lot on the PS1 games, not so much on the current gen. I just have to be careful on what FPS games to buy.

Best way to get rid of the sickness is ginger , either ginger beer or pickeled ginger. Have a bit of ginger and it goes away.

Actually, this did happen to me the first time I played that MSDOS Star Wars FPS game, forget the title. I didn't have any problems whatosoever with Doom, though, which is weird. In general, tiredness can lead to symptoms like that, tough.
