Several ways. 1. Be a well known composer and have them approach you. 2. Work for a music licensing company as a composer and have the game developer contract your company. 3. Work as a sound designer for a video game developer. The most common way is to be hired based on past credentials.

network. anything in regards to entertainment, or business; you need to know someone who works in that industry and get close to them. im planning to go into film or video-game finance.

i keep in touch with my boss from my last internship at a film producing company. next week im having dinner with my boss and the CFO of nintendo, because my boss was able to hook me up with him.

edit: but yes the guy above is right, build a good credential. even if you ARE talented, it means nothing unless if you USE them. get experience, maybe an internship or something. if you still go to school, go talk to the music professors. sure theyre faculties, but professors love it when people approach them for help on something that they like.

You have to be able to apply your love of music, and you must understand the roles of music in video games. Take courses at a tertiary institute if you're rough on your music theory or if you don't know how to use equipment.
