Video game music that takes you back

I really enjoyed the original The World Ends With You and much if it has to do with the music and style. ”The Underground” is a classic song that takes me back and invokes a lot of nostalgia for me. How about you, GD? What video game songs bings back dem memories?

Will vouche for Demon World Village/ Ghost n' Goblins as a video game franchise at anycase. The PSP entry is still my personal favorite and I did enjoy the new one. Music for the franchise? I don't think is anything special.

Turrican I've seen on forums express the music being amazing, same as Shadow of the Beast. Both however are European knock-offs of more successful franchises. Turrican is shamelessly mimicking Metroid and SotB is a tracing paper Altered Beast.

Any tunes from a classic NES game. Mario, Duck Hunt, Contra, etc.

It's some of my earliest memories, actually. Best friend at the time growing up was lucky enough to have a small TV in his room and an NES. This would have been early 90's. Just so happy to have grown up when and where I did.

My taste in video game music is on the feminine side.
