I am fully aware that this was released as a joke devised by some online floozy attempting to click farm for attention but like the bard wrote "truth is told in jest." And I have found that what people really think is usually proceeded with "I'm just kidding."

Here's the thang. There is nothing wrong with gaming... in small controlled doses, as long as it's not the center of your life, and you had better have other aspects of your life in check. If you are a well adjusted educated gainfully employed man who talks/dresses/acts like an adult, is physically fit, has a full social life, diverse interests, knows how to get girls, and generally is a winner. A guy like that playing a few rounds of Call of Duty or Zelda has earned his leisure time.

However if you are a guy who has built nor achieved nothing, whose life revolves around pushing plastic buttons to make ones and zeros move around on a screen, who has over 50K posts on the forums, and generally knows he is not where he needs to be (you all know who you are), I would humbly suggest that you put down the controller and gain XP to level up in life instead of Elder Scrolls.

Ultimately men are the captains of their lives so please ignore all this and choose to live the way you want. Lastly, women have a host of irritating habits that are commensurate with men who play too much video games but I will leave that alone because I don't want to be cancelled.

Hold out for a gamer. It's a life hack. If gaming is a red flag to someone, the trash is taking itself out.

@girlusocrazy: as I posted, I chose not to go into bidness with him. A henpecked weak man who allows his woman to disrespect him and treat him like a simp is not the type of man who should be trusted with any authority or who can be a viable contributing partner.

It's not surprising, the problem is that too much gaming can prevent you from developing your social skills which is what women value.

It can also sometimes lead you to be shy around them and they generally much prefer for you to be confident and nicely dominant.

@GalvatronType_R: A wise decision! But don't let that stop you! You are a very astute and discerning person, and that is a valuable trait that is hard to come by and is clearly serving you well it is very altruistic of you to be sharing this gift with others and trying to make people happier and make the world a better place. If only it could be done on a wider scale. Have you considered making YouTube shorts?

It's lucky that all women are the same so that we men know exactly what to do.

What's the least attractive female hobby according to men?

@Litchie: Getting tattoos, talking over, interrupting, or distracting men, answering on behalf of the man, openly flirting with others, according to this thread

Doesn't seem Games Discussion related what so ever. If anything comes across as a lingering cry for help, thinking gaming is the issue is frankly a crutch to bigger issues you have going-on in life. Stop using excuses and take accountability!

Now if you simply want to have sex and have poor self-esteem issues? just pay a hooker. Prostitution has been around for a while.

I saw this on Facebook, and I said the same thing as I'll say now.

All I know is that just about every guy I know online around my age, including myself, are married, so... yeah I don't know about that.

Sure, that doesn't prove anything resolutely because of circles and all that, but I'm calling bs since just about everyone plays games on something these days.

Maybe the problem isn't the guys playing the games but rather the women they polled. Most guys don't want to deal with some conceited girl that demands change instead of both being happy and reaching a compromise or just respecting the others hobbies.

I dated a girl when I was younger who detested gaming. She was honestly the most uninteresting shallow person I ever dated. Her only redeeming quality was I was attracted to her. As I've grown older that seemed to be a common theme that i noticed with many women that hate gaming.

They have no imagination, no interest, no hobbies and are generally just kind of miserable 🤷‍♂️

I ended up marrying someone who pretended to like gaming but turns out she only did that to appease me. But at least she tolerates my hobby.

@silentchief: I knew a girl who would roll her eyes if she saw me playing videogames. Granted I couldn't talk to her cause shyness as was she. She looked like a boring person to be honest though she eventually married. I feel bad for her husband having to put up with her. The girl seemed to be miserable whenever I looked at her.

Video games are art. Even if you don't like video games, if you appreciate art then you can at least express some genuine curiosity about them if a potential romantic partner partakes.

I Think if someone is immediately turned off by video games, they likely lack appreciation for art in general, and likely lack enough of an inner child to be a positive person.

To be clear, I'm not saying it's bad to dislike games, I'm just saying it's bad to be immediately 100% intolerant of them.

I think that at a certain age we give more importance to our tranquility, peace and entertainment. This is reflected when we play online.
On the other hand, with any partner you may have, some realize it and join your world or others just argue with you.
In short, everything will depend on the circumstance and what you are going through at that moment.
