As I'm in 2 minds about this game, as im not a lover of the clip art effect, I'd much rather it have the same scenery as the last of us. So just want people's opinions on it, who have played it or like me are in two minds.. The goty version is out and the end of the month and so is season 2.

Cheers for any replies in advance.

Well personally I love them. I understand why people criticise them and claim they aren't "real games" because the gameplay is quite honestly minimal, but they have great stories to tell and they tell them well. In my case I also got pretty invested in the characters too.

As for the graphics, I've never been one to object to any style of graphics in particular. I think you'll get used to them quickly though; keep in mind these games are available on tablets too, so they can't have the graphical quality of a game like tlou.

Don't worry about the artstyle too much, the game can be pretty grim.
I can't be fully honest about this game (some of my disappointments to be precise) because that would go into spoiler territory. That being said, the game can be very tense and unpredictable, and is clearly a work of passion; definitely worth the playthrough

Depends, do you like gameplay ?

Do you like games at all ?

Then The Walking dead is probably not for you.... But you should play it anyway.

While it has minimal gameplay, it works for the experience it's trying to create. I liked it a lot, even though it has a few too obvious plot holes in its story and some annoying gameplay segments.

Even if you don't play it, watching a playthrough on Youtube is as entertaining as watching the show. I do like the games, not Survival Instinct though; but the TellTale ones are wonderful, you'll like them I think.

The actual gameplay may or may not turn you off. I have heard some people on different forum I lurk (NeoGaf I believe it was) that express that opinion. I would suggest looking through some gameplay before making a purchase.

@crewe8: If you can do Heavy Rain, then you can certainly do TWD. The Telltale games are like a more condensed version of what Heavy Rain was. I waited a long time to play them but once I got into them I cruised through all of them in weeks. They are awesome, and far more emotionally impacting than most all of the games I've played in years.

Even though you may not like the art style at first,it will surely grow on you.Its an amazing series with tremendous storyline, great moments and difficult choices to make. Its definitely one of thr greatest video game series ever made alongside Wolf among US.

Use the reticle stick to line up shots is awesome. True that the game is similar to The Last of us. But still worth to play it.

watching them has no difference compared to playing them, it should've been a spinoff tv series or something instead of a 'game'

I think they are great. Would have preferred more gameplay, but I highly recommend them.

You could also Try Beyond Two Souls. Although I'm only reccomending it as an experiment, It doesn't give you as much autonomy over the plot, I liked it even more.

@sukraj

Where else I don't them interesting... As Games... :)

Truth is they aren't games, thinking of them that way is part of the reason that turns gamers away so often.
