Want to buy MGS V, haven't played any of the previous games.

I am really impressed by the gameplay and graphics of Phantom Pain and I really want to buy it when it comes out. However, I haven't played any of the previous MGS games, so I have no background on the story and not sure whether I should buy it, as not getting into the story wouldn't be interesting. I only have a PS4, so I won't be able to play the previous games. Any suggestions on what should I do? Thank you and much appreciated.

it's a sequel prequel , so you don't need much of the info from the previous games , maybe GZ but you can YT that.

A couple months back MGS V: GZ was a free PS+ game, so I decided to try it out. I loved it. And I know its kinda silly to say so considering the fact that I haven't played any of the previous games, also cause it was quite a short game. I really think in this case, the fun lies in the gameplay rather than the story, so I really don't think it should be a problem to get MGS V - which I will too. It's hard to say no to a game which looks as fantastic as it plays.

It probably could help a little to skim the story of the previous games on wiki, which is what I did, but other than that, I say you're good to go.
