I don't know about you, but I want a WarCraft 4. And I want it to be a strategy game with a strong single player component like the previous chapters. Will I ever get it?
Yes dude you will. Warcraft 3 is still selling and they still are doing things with it. Blizzard doesn't just dump games or sequel names out there like other companies. Diablo 3 will come out before Warcraft 4 even is talked about. StarCraft 2 took 9 years since the first one officially came out to be shown off. StarCraft 2 prob won't be out to 2009 in my honest oppinion. They will prob show off Zerg and more unit things at Blizcon 2008 and go from there. I don't think you will see a Diablo 3 until 10 years past the original. Warcraft 3 took 7 years to come out after 2 in 1995. In todays time of gamign with money and cost of dev. time and insanely over critical fans its not gonna be anytime soon sadly. WoW really sucked to me.
This post is reassuring to me. I've been praying for this game for years now,and I was worried they wouldn't make it since they had WoW. But looking at those release dates,it makes perfect sense.

I typed wrong earlier. Diablo 10 years after the second one. Diablo 1 came out in 1996. D2 hit in 2000 with the Expansion coming out a year later in 2001. For a while there was a joke wiht my a friend about Blizzard. Alot of there games were coming out in late June, Early July. D2, D2 Expo, Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne all hit in late June early July from 2000-2003.I remember when they first showed pics off of Warcraft 3 i believe it was 1999 (don't hold me to that haha) And how crazy it looked at the time and i remember the magazine saying "The Humans have went the way of Guns N Roses all arguing over power and money" haha i always thought that was funny. Warcraft 2 was my first taste when every i knew still was playing Super Nes, N64 and Psone i was playing Warcraft 2 until Twisted Metal 2 entered my life haha. StarCraft i still play on battlenet at least 3-4 nights a week.
Good to hear WC3 is eventually coming. I really hope they pick up the story where they cut it, because (although the expansion pack was awesome) the frozen throne ending was a bit of a disappointment.
I also loved WC2 on the PS and WC1 on the pc. Overall: best strategy series ever.

WC is an awesome series, and you are entitled to your opinion, but after I played DoW and CoH, (Yeah I know they are younger then WC) I have to disagree.
Now that there is a chance there will be a WC 4 though, I'm pretty excited.
At this point, wouldn't Warcraft 4 almost have to have some kind of integration with WOW? Sort of the same way SimCity 4 had you plopping down some of your saved sims to live out their lives in your cities? I don't know how that could ever be balanced, but I imagine there would be at least some rudimentary degree of integration with World of Warcraft.

Yeah. I believe WC4 will come after Diablo2 but this is a good thing coz I am really looking forward to D2. Also, if WC4 comes out now it probably wouldnt be very different than WC3 coz the technology has not changed that much since.
im myself a professional warcraft 3 player , honestly they dont need to make wc4 they just need to patch the game ( they said it will be and the end of this year ) and to pay more attention at the game it self not just watching stupid wow and sc2

I think they are now putting all of their efforts in SC2. To be fair, that makes sense. Anyway, when was the frozen throne release? 2004? I think its time in the sun is almost over 9if not already).

As a "professional", you like almost everyone in this thread don't know that WoW is handled by its own side of Blizzard. WoW doesn't affect the release or schedule of any other current or upcomming games.

Yep, that goes without saying. If it ever comes out, there will definitely be battleground crossovers, not to mention a themed WoW expansion. They would be fools to be miss this kind of chance for cross-promotion.
OMG im dieing for a WC4 too, and i would hope to see how the story of WC3 would continue. WC3 is still AMAZING, but a little out of date now (just a little).
I'm itching for a Warcaft 4, but to be honest, I'm still playing Warcaft 3 Frozen Throne every day. Thats how good of a job Blizzard does on its games.
