I would Start with the first one, that was an amazing start to the series.Vanishandfade
I LOVED the series when it came out. I played the heck out of it. But I recently went back to the first game a few months back, and man, has it aged POORLY. And I don't just mean the flat faces and washed out textures, the controls are quite unintuitive. Back when it was new, it was forgivable because the 3D gaming industry was still relatively new and still experimenting with controls. But nowadays, it really hurts the experience.

But plot and gameplay wise it would be the best start. While the controls in 2 and 3 kind of rely on prior knowledge since they are more complicated, and the plot is kind of needed in the series with the first 3. it also has a more arcadish adventure feel, which eases you into the 2nd and 3rd games which by the 3rd is more Adventure Stealth with less of an arcady feel. What was your favorite game in the series?I had only played the first one and it was a great action game especially for its time. Great start for me, but I haven't continued through the series since I had lots of other games to complete. Great action, story, and structure. I did not complain of the controls too much and not even today either since I got used to them quickly (just like the tank controls in the early survival horror games back in the PSX and PS2 era which people had gripes with). I would like to try out SF2 since people have criticized the game for its difficulty. I know that the game has fallen under the radar for quite some time after the PS2/PSP titles. I don't know if the developers are finished with the series yet, but it doesn't look like it should end at this point, but what do I know? I don't even remember the story of the games. :PSlykReviewinNo need to because MS has Splinter cell MGS is multiplat. Wii has Ghost Recon, what does Sony have? Also they can greatly expand the series it has a more diverse character. It makes no sense that they have no continued the franchise it would add on a lot more players.

I know, but they need to atleast make a new isntallment for the fans or atleast end it with a final game, but I do not know if this could happen or not since I do not see much fan activity of these games (at least in the forums and websites I've been to).
