What are most disappointing games you have ever played?

For me are

Silent Hill 2, yea scary but also really boring and combat is absolutely dull and worse than first

Resident evil 2, nothing new, just a scenario but no real gameplay innovation, if not aestethics, apart cd swapping feature, i found puzzles really stupid

Vagrant story really a classic example Form over substance, item management is no sense

Zelda II adventure of link, i hated this game, really difficult and i hated random and forced enemy encounter over map

these are the main games, i know i have some any other

Final Fantasy XII

Super Mario Sunshine

Pokemon Battle Revolution

GTA San Andreas. I never understood the hype.

lol, Zelda II, resident evil 2, Vagrant story, Silent Hill 2 would all be on my favorites list, but I understand fully why you didn't like them for the reasons you listed.

the most dissapointing game for me was HALO. my friends all convinced me to buy an Xbox to play Halo, and the game flat out blew. Generic concept, faceless protagonist, silly/absurd enemies, boring and repetative level design....I just will never understand how people actually liked Halo

yea I'm not talking about bad games on absolute terms, simply these games were given to me with different waitings for and i found first two to be rehash with worst features despite the originals, vagrant story and zelda ii i believed they were great new games, i was wrong

I would expect more Superman 64 and Bubsy 3D in this thread. All of the games you people mention are good or even excellent.

Shadow of the Colossus, thought it was boring.

Twilight Princess wasn't that great either.

Super Godzilla on the SNES. I love the 8-bit Godzilla King of the Monsters on the NES. So The Super Nintendo should be able to deliver a decent Game of Godzilla.

5 haze ----that was awful,, timesplitters 4 should have been finished first shame on free radical and sony for making it a exclusive to ps3 ,, wii could have made that better

Dissapointments

Final Fantasy XIII - I understand SE needs to try something new since its a long franchise...I just can't stand this game though.

Megaman Series - Most people love it...but I can never get into it.

Need For Speed Shift - Way too arcadey to be a sim racer

Any Football game this generation - Gameplay sucks and the button patterns are all over the place...ps2 button patterns were better because it was consistent with the ps1.

I can only think mostly of recent games...other games in the past I have either grown to like or just forgot about them...

Is that the first or second Star Wars shooter for gamecube? The first one I thought was great, but was a little let down by the second--at least initially. Same deal with Sunshine. Somehow that Mario 64 high seems to last forever. Two years ago, however, I started replaying Sunshine and was able to look at it more objectively. It is now one of my favorite gamecube titles by far.

Earth worm Jim on the Megadrive, all my mates were like "its awesome" so i tried it and it just didnt appeal. Just felt like rayman as a worm, now im not sure which came first, rayman or Earthworm jim but i enjoy rayman and nothing will take its place!

Originally Twilight Princess but I have come to apppreciate it for the great game it is.
