What are the best RPG's on the PS1/PS2 (Aside from FInal Fantasy) ?

I just dug my PS2 out of the closet and want to catch up on the RPG's I missed out on. I really only played the Final Fantasy games.

Any suggestions on what are some of the good/best RPG's on the PS2 or PS1?

-Xeno-series

-Chrono Series (Chrono Trigger was packaged with an FF game for PS1)

- Shadow Hearts series

-Persona series (includes the rare Shin Megami Devil Saga)

-anything done by Nippon Ichi

-Arc the Lad series

-and if you count them, Harvest Moon series

Squaresoft was definitely king of Rpgs on both systems and I'm sure by now everyone has mentioned those. But how about these?

Level 5 had three great ones:

Rogue Galaxy

Dark Cloud 1 and 2

and lets not forget....

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness is a great Tactical RPG

but it does take a bit of level grinding that is not found in FF Games

PS1- Xenogears, Persona 1-2, Tales of Destiny 1-2, Breath of Fire 3-4, Lunar 1-2, Suidoken 1-2, Chrono Cross, Wild Arms 1-2, Legend of Legaia, Legend of Dragoon, Grandia

PS2- Tales of the Abyss, I will play other PS2's RPGs, later.

Seriously, it's an excellent series as long as you can tolerate the shoddy story and gameplay changes that made up IV...

PS1: DRAGON WARRIOR 7, Wild Arms, Wild Arms 2, Shadow Madness, Xenogears(haven't played, but heard it was good), Legend of Legaia, Legend of Dragoon, Digimon World 2 and Digimon World 3.

PS2: Dagon Quest 8, Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, Wild Arms 3, Wild Arms: Alter Code F, Wild Arms 4, Atelier Iris, Shadow Hearts: Covenant, Shadow Hearts: From the New World, Digimon World 4, Shining Force NEO, Dark Cloud 2, Persona 3, Rogue Galaxy, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1-2, Champions of Norrath 1, Digital Devil Saga and Devil Summoner.

Vagrant story on PS1.

It was a bit short but the story was great, and the visuals were great to!
