What Are the Best Super-Hero/Comic Book Video Games?

It seems that super-hero/comic book games get a bad reputation by gamers. I don't understand why. Sure there have been some bad ones, but there have been plenty of awesome ones, too:

• Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage (SNES/Genesis)
• Death & Return of Superman (SNES/Genesis)
• Justice League: Task Force (SNES/Genesis)
• X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse (SNES)
• X-Men 2: The Clone Wars (Genesis)
• Marvel vs. Capcom (PS1/Saturn/Dreamcast)
• Spider-Man 1 & 2(PS1/N64)
• Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (PS2)
• Spider-Man 1 & 2(PS2/XBox/Gamecube)
• Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (PS2/XBox/Gamecube)
• X-Men Legends 1 & 2
• Justice League: Heroes (PS2/XBox)

Batman AA (360), Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage (SNES), Marvel vs. Capcom 1,2 (Dreamcast), Street Fighter vs X-Men (PSX) are my personal favorites

I can't believe that you didn't list the best superhero game ever made on your list, which is Batman Arkham Asylum! It is, at this point, the greatest superhero game ever made! NO COMPARISON!ASK_Story

I just haven't played it yet. I want to, but haven't had the opportunity yet.

Arkham Asylum is easily the best superhero game. Capcom made some pretty good Marvel games back in the day, though (before the fighting games arrived).

The Marvel RPGs (X-Men Legends, Ultimate Alliance) are good, too. They got simpler (in a bad way) after X-Men Legends 2, though.
