Hey everyone, my new topic is yet another question. I'm wondering what the most expensive games in your collection are. I'm sure that a lot of you have at least one rare and expensive game in your collection, and I'd like to hear what they are. I don't have very many rare/expensive games in my collection, but here's what I have:

Chrono Trigger (cart only), Super Metroid (cart only), Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Saturn version and PS1 version(black label)), Rockman 8: Metal Heroes (Saturn version)

Please do comment and let me know what the most rare/expensive games in your collection are. Thanks!

Panzer Dragoon Saga and Xenoblade are the rarest that I know of (both opened). I also have a Dreamcast Broadband Adapter.

recently sold off 95% of my retro collection to pay for university, but the games I got the most money for were "Panzer Dragoon Saga" on Saturn, and my Genesis retro project copies of "pier solar", "beggar prince" and "legend of wukong".

I doubt any of my Amstrad games are worth anything and 99% of PC games whittle down to worthlessness eventually.

I have a few on PS2 that might make my relatives smile a bit after i've snuffed it:

924364_58450_thumb.jpg 926283_72471_thumb.jpg 926824_72512_thumb.jpg431703_43867_thumb.jpg

920597_62608_thumb.jpg921111_70671_thumb.jpg919353_63102_thumb.jpg929240_74807_thumb.jpg

The most expensive one to initially buy for me was 'Shadow of the Colossus' because i bought it new for £40 at release. I like to think mine's more valuable than other peoples versions because i put plastic film on the card cover after purchase knowing that it would wear-out with constant opening and closing.

'Space War Attack' was £30 used and is probably the rarest game i own.

Trouble is values are all over the place and it's impossible to know which will stay high 20 years in the future. I bet all of them sold together don't even touch the value of some old NES/Master System games though. :P

At the top of my head: MUSHA, Grind Stormer, Crusader of Centy, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Mega Man X4 (saturn), Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Sparkster (SNES). Nothing super extraordinary though.

Yeah, I do plan on it, but I tend to buy games only when I know that I have enough time to play them.

when did the PS version of "Mega Man 8" become more expensive than the SAT version!?

seriously, I sold my SAT version about a year ago and got $75, couldn't get more than $15 for it on PlayStation.

Not even remotely close. The PS1 version goes for 25 bucks or less still sealed... good luck finding a used Saturn copy for less than three times that amount.

That's a stupid qualifier you've added, but the black label PS1 version sealed is still less than a used Saturn copy. There's a sealed MM8 PS1 black label for 50 bucks shipped on eBay as I type this, and two more sealed for 70 and 80 dollars respectively. There's only one US Saturn copy on eBay or Amazon for less than 100 dollars, and it's just a loose disc.

It used to be Panzer Dragoon Saga but I decided to part with it after finishing it to buy some other games I was too broke to afford, made a $20 profit after ebay fees. Here are some of my higher priced games(would have to look up to remember some) - Last I saw most are in the $60-90 range, Suikoden II is more like $110-140. Demon's Crest (bought for $9 about 5 years ago, weird that it's so high now) Dragon Force (Saturn) Lunar and Lunar 2 box sets (PS1), also Lunar 2 on Sega CD Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii) Project Justice (Dreamcast) Shining Force III (Saturn) Shining the Holy Ark (Saturn) Suikoden II (PS1) Xenoblade (Wii)

Probably my sealed copy of Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii with the limited edition art book.  It's no EarthBound or Panzer Dragoon Saga, but considering how recently Xenoblade Chronicles was released and what it's already going for, it's probably going to go up even further.  I knew this game was going to become valuable when I heard that Gamestop was the only retailer that was going to be selling it in NA.

Some of my other expensive games are Conker's Live and Reloaded (Xbox), Legend of Zelda Master Quest (NGC), Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition (NGC), sealed copy of Legend of Zelda Minish Cap (GBA), Super Metroid (SNES), Final Fantasy VII (PSX), Super Smash Bros (N64), Megaman X Collection (NGC), Paper Mario TTYD (NGC), Smash Bros. Melee (NGC), Legend of Zelda Windwaker (NGC), Eternal Darkness (NGC), All of the Mario Kart games, Many sealed Pokemon games like SoulSilver with the Pokewalker, Platinum, White, White v2, Conquest.....

There's a bunch of others in my collection that fall under the $30+ range but I dunno if that's even considered expensive.

I dunno- does the best Castlevania game ever get more value when it's been signed by the very hand of IGA? Otherwise I have a like-new copy of the original PS2 release of GTA: SA- the one with the hot coffee info embedded somewhere in the disc. It's still like new because I play my red label copy when I'm in the mood.

We used to have Dragon Force- I was too young at the time to understand it, but I liked watching my brother play the battle scenes.

[QUOTE="DeafNYCPlayer"][QUOTE="El_Zo1212o"][QUOTE="DeafNYCPlayer"]NES- I am not sure SNES- Earthbound, Secret of Mana, Brandish, Chrono Trigger N64- Ogre Battle 64, Harvest Moon 64 Gamecube- Phantasy Star Online Episode 1&2, Skies of Arcadia Legends, DDR Mario Mix, NCAA College Basketball 2k3, Phantasy Star Online Episode 1&2 Plus, Tales of Symphonia, Pokémon Box, Ikaruga Wii- Xenoblade, Metroid Trilogy, Dragonball Z T 3 Genesis- Shining Force 2, Phantasy Star 2-4 Sega CD- Lunar 1-2, Popful Mail Saturn- Albert Odyssey (sp), Shining Force 3, Magic Knight Rayearth, Shining in the Holy Ark Dreamcast- Project Justice, Record of Lodoss Wars, Shenmue Limited Edition Box, Gunbird 2 Playstation- Lunar 1-2 Collector's Editions, Xenogears with black label, Final Fantasy Anthology with black label Playstation 2- Mr Mosquito, Mad Maestro, Ring of Red, RAD

Your Saturn collection would be way more impressive if you had the Big 4- Albert Odyssey: The Legend of Eldean, Dragon Force, Iron Storm and Shining Wisdom. I've onlyever owned 3 of them at once, and nowadays I only still own Albert Odyssey(even without a Saturn to play it on).

I don't have Dragon Force, and Iron Storm. I forgot about Shining Wisdom. I own it also.

You know what would be a great addition to your Saturn collection? Mega Man 8. The Saturn version has bonus content like the Cutman and Woodman boss battles, an art gallery, and different music on Tengu Man's stage.
