My top ones in order are:

1. Resident Evil 4 - masterpiece, greatest game ever made. Nothing else needs to be said :D

2. Devil May Cry 3 - Evolved DMC1's awesome gameplay into one of the deepest and most complex fighting systems to ever appear in a hack 'n slash.

3.Dino Crisis 2 - Pretty much did the same for the original as what RE4 did for it's predecessors. Took the great slow-paced suspence building formula of the originals and perfectly tansformed it into a great non-stop thrill ride. Some fans were turned off by this but for the most part both games were extremely well-recieved.

Devil May Cry 3. Megaman Zero games. Megaman X4. Resident Evil 4. I wasn't really interested in RE because I usually played games with characters that could easily defeat everything in those games and make it look as easy as it was. RE4 gave that option. Street Fighter 3: Third Strike if only they had some of the original characters, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Capcom vs SNK 2, SF Alpha 3. I count XMEN vs Street Fighter as a sequel because it's basically the same concept and sprites as Marvel Super Heroes/XmenvsSF/MarvelvsCapcom.

1. Street fighter 2: World Warrior, from the arcades. Basically popularized the fighting genre, i still play the SNES version from time to time, still as fun as ever; the equivalent of what Doom was for the FPS industry.

2. DMC3, my favorite hack'n slash action game, with a over the top character that i like, smooth graphics and solid mechanics. This is Dante wen he was younger, the new reboot that's coming soon doesn't exist in my mind.

Resident Evil 2, the pinnacle of the series. I wish Capcom would make another RE like it. Beating the game with one character and then experiencing it with another as they took different routes through the level was awesome.
