I have never played it before.

It's a Devil May Cry game, same deal as before except now we get 2 playable characters although the women didn't play as well as Dante. I don't see how it's much different from the other ones in the series, I know they added a few more features and upgraded the graphics for next gen in number 3 but Gamespot gives it lower score due to being short (I completed the first one in one evening so /shrug) and apparently the scenery isn't as detailed.... I can't say I remember admiring the scenary in the first game either, dark stony corridor with a few urns and candles followed by a dark stony room with some urns and candles...
Did you even play it? It lacked depth compared to other titles and it wasn't nearly as dificult as 1,3 (4 as well)It's a Devil May Cry game, same deal as before except now we get 2 playable characters although the women didn't play as well as Dante. Yes I did. Completed it with both characters. I am sure I wrote something about it being easier then the other titles but I must of deleted it when editing and spell checking my post and forgot to reword it.
I don't like the series much in general but I play them because it's in my favorite sort of games genre, I give them a chance, but so far the series including Bayonetta don't flow as well for me as I want it to. I always end up finding two or three moves that I repeat or shooting and diving lots to preserve health, then once the games completed I have no desire to replay it and try and impress myself by playing more 'flashy'.
One of my favorite series of all times, and the first one i ever played was DMC3: Special Edition, weeks ago. To be honest, i didn't play with both characters, but will soon play it with Vergil.
I finished DMC4 today, and i liked it, obviously i loved playing Dante more, and i liked the updated visuals a lot. This one, i played on the PC with my gamepad, i immediately bought it cheap as **** after finishing DMC3 since i needed moar.
I got my hands on a cheap DMC1 copy for my PS2 two-three days ago, and i'll play it in a hour or so today.
DMC is by far, one of the greatest action series i have ever played, and i cannot wait to finish DMC1.
I will get DMC2, and play it, just to add it into my collection, i aknowledge the bad reputation it has, but it ain't gonna effect my enjoyment if the game is solid.

I love over the top characters, cheesy lines, so maybe that's 40% of why i love these series. The rest 60%, i frikkin love the action, fluid combat, weapon variety. But i could never play it on Easy, no challenge.
DMC2 is just garbage compared to the rest of the series. Especially because the first game was pretty good and the third one was great. I have no idea how they messed up so much with that one, but I could only play it for an hour or so before I realized that it sucked. The story wasn't even good either.
DMC2 was the weakest of the series, but I don't think it was a bad game at all. Compared to DMC1, the story is not nearly as interesting. The atmosphere and enviroments just come off as bland. But the gameplay is still solid, it just seems like the action is long winded at time.
That being said, it still is a good game. It just doesn't achieve the greatness the other games in the series had. Personally, I think its worth picking up and playing through, if you are a fan of the series you'll like it. You just won't love it like DMC1
it was bad but i didnt think it was that bad i mean i was abble to play through both disc so it couldnt have been that bad
I'm probably going to be the only one to tell you this, but I ACTUALLY liked playing it even though it was bad. :P
Extremely disappointed with the game overall. They had some good ideas put into the game, but the execution was pretty poor in the end. The game simply lacked the free-style gameplay that made me fall in love with the first game. Thankfully, they mostly learned from their mistakes and made DMC3, so all is forgiven.
