while it would be pretty impossible given space limitations and the fact its from different companies, I would have liked to see a compilation of most or all of the games released on the Model 2 arcade board.

I would like to see a Devil May Cry PS2 collection on PS3. Or a Final Fantasy game collection that includes X and Dirge of Cerberous.

also , compilations which make the games look sharper/better are also welcome.

one such example is Sonic Jam on the Saturn , which has Sonic 1/2/3/Kunckles and they look better then the Mega Drive originals.

I'd like to see a Treasure compilation, due to the fact that every game I've played by them has just been pure fun.

Panzer Dragoon compilation first of all, and maybe a Treasure compilation, as ModeDude said.

*Edit* How about a Starfox Compilation with every game in the series... Eehh. Maybe not. The only part of the series that has remotely aged well is SF64 and three levels of Assault.

Thankfully, there have been some great compilations in the last few years. A lot of my favorites have already come out like the Sega Collections, Sonic Collections, Mega Man & Mega Man X collections, SNK collection, Metal Slug Collection, Capcom Collections, etc.

As for ones that haven't come out that I'd like to see, I have a few:

  • Castlevania Collection - Include all 3 original NES titles, Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania: Dracula X, Castlevania: Bloodlines, and Castlevania: Symphony of hte Night. It would be soooo awesome. And since they're all 2D games, I don't think it would be hard to fit them all.
  • ContraCollection - Include Contra (NES), Super C, Contra III: The Alien Wars, Contra: Hard Corps, and Contra: Legacy of War on this collection, as well as the original arcade version of Contra. Run-N-Gun heaven.
  • Forgotten Realms Collection - The best series of dungeon-crawling games. Based on the Dungeons & Dragons universe. They could release em as seperate games but all together, like the Diablo Battlechest or WarCraft Battlechest. They could include Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 & 2, and Neverwinter Nights.
  • The Legend of ZeldaCollection - Include NES, SNES, N64, Gameboy, GBC, & GBA entries on this sucker. I'd buy it. The Zelda' Collector's Disc for Gamecube was cool, but only had the NES and N64 games.
  • Marvel Comics Collection - I'm not sure if this could actually happen due to licensing and rights and such. But if could be done, it would be freaking awesome. Include a few beat-em ups like X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse, Maximum Carnage, and Captain America and The Avengers alongside some fighting games like Marvel vs. Capcom, Marvel Super-Heroes, and X-Men: Children of the Atom. I would be all over that.
  • Mega Man Legends Collection - Capcom has already released a Mega Man Collection, a Mega Man X Collection, and even a Mega Man Zero Collection. But they haven't released a Mega Man Legends collection. They could include Mega Man Legends 1 & 2 and The Misadventures of Tron-Bonne, and even a couple of unlockable classic Mega Man games.
  • Metroid Collection - Include all the great 2D entries: Metroid, Super Metroid, Metroid II: The Return of Samus, Metroid: Fusion, and Metroid: Zero Mission in this collection and Nintendo would have a runaway hit.
  • Ninja Gaiden Collection - Include all 3 NES games, the original arcade game, and the Gameboy game on this and you would make me one happy NES fan.
  • Resident Evil Trilogy - A compilation that collects the 3 original Resident Evil titles.

I agree about the Mega Man Legends collection. I never had the chance to play them yet, and they are very expensive on Amazon. They should definitly at least put them on PSN. Especially since it has an upcoming sequal.

I like this list, especially Marvel Collection. I would say change Resident Evil Trilogy to Capcom Horror Collection though and add Dino Crisis 1 and 2. A TMNT collection would also be awesome and might actually be feasible since I think all were done by Konami.

I'd love to see an HD collection with Final Fantasy X and XII. And a Battle Arena Toshinden collection or sequel (not that horrible Wii 'sequel').. But one can only dream.

Hey! Battle Arena Toshinden has potential! Yes, it's not quite on a Virtua Fighter or Tekken level, but I imagine it could be a great contender if they remade it today :P

Also I'd love Klonoa 1 + 2 HD, and obviously a Klonoa 3.

I remember people being more amazed about Toshinden's visuals then anything, but I agree if they were clever about it , it might have worked

and if you ask me, Tekken isnt all that great either, I consider Virtua Fighter and Dead Or Alive, and Street Fighter for that matter, to be better series :P

Wouldn't mind one of those myself! Well, let's see.. Hmm. I wouldn't mind seeing a Dragon Quest collection with Dragon Quest 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 together.. The Ultimate Gradius Collection with Gradius 1 through 5, a Parodius collection with all the Parodius games on it (some of the sexiest ladies in gaming history are on those games!), maybe a Road Rash collection or at least a new one with all the tracks from the first three games.. The Castlevania Chronicles featuring Castlevania 1, 2, 3, 4, Rondo of Blood, Dracula X and a bonus game: that one that was released in Japan with Kid Dracula. I think that would be a great experience for newer fans of the series to see where the roots of the line came from. I have a lot of other ideas for compilations, but I won't babble on :P

  • Castlevania 1-3
  • Contra
  • Super C
  • Contra III: The Alien Wars
  • Gradius 1-3
  • Life Force
  • Metal Gear
  • TMNT 1-3 (I don't think it would be possible, though, I think Ubisoft has the TMNT rights now, or maybe someone else, but I know Konami lost em)

Hmm....

Bucky O Hare: I'm not sure about this one because I don't think I've played it. But hey: if it's goodthen I sayadd it:Pand I heard it's pretty decent.

Castlevania 1-3: 100% yes!:)

Contra and Super C: A must!:o

Gradius 1-3: excellent choice.

Life Force: again, outstanding. One of my favorites.

Metal Gear: it's where my Metal Gear experience started and another must to add to the collection.

TMNT 1-3: as long as they have TMNT (NES) and TMNT IV (SNES) I'll be happy.

Here are my choices:

Castlevania: Dracula X (SNES)

Castlevania: Bloodlines (SG)

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1)

Policenauts (Saturn)

Snatcher (Saturn)

Contra: Shattered Soldier (PS2)

Time Pilot (arcade)

Gyruss (arcade)

Jackal (NES)

Rush 'n Attack (arcade)

Axelay (SNES)

Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES)

Blades of Steel (NES)

Parodius (arcade)

The Simpsons (arcade)

Sunset Riders (arcade)

I know, I know I'm asking for A LOT right?lol:P

Ooh, this is my cuppa tea :P. You do mean compilations on current gen consoles, right? if so: Grand Theft Auto collection (if all of the games are too much, then just III, Vice City and San Andreas for now. LCS and VCS (and the originals) could come out together later on or something, or even make it a 2-part compilation. Speaking of 2-part compilation, I'd also like to see a Resident Evil collection. Also, how about this: Tomb Raider! that would be amazing :D. If we're still limiting ourselves to 3 games, then of course the first 3 games for the time being. If a Tomb Raider, GTA and RE (although we're kind of getting that) get released this year on Xbox 360 with achievements etc. and as full retail games, I'd be very happy! :D I was VERY happy when MGS is finally coming to the 360 as well :). It would be cool if they added some sort of multiplayer support for these games.

[QUOTE="Koi-Neon-X"]I know, I know I'm asking for A LOT right?lol:P

Not really when you consider how much is packed into the last Sega Collection. I would also want Super Castlevania IV.

That's true. Could definitely use another Sega Collection too;)

But we already have the Sega Smash Pack, Sega Genesis Collection, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, Sonic Mega Collection Plus, and Sonic Gems Collection. I think Sega collections could take a backseat for a while. I want to see collections that we haven't seen yet.

Sega doesnt need to take a backseat because almost all of their compiltions, other then the Gems collection and the recently released Dreamcast collection , are all mostly Mega Drive complilations. where is the Master System compilation? where the Saturn compilation? where is the arcade compilation (Virtua Cop and Viruta Cop 2 arcade , on the PS3/360/Wii, think about it)

Yeah, that's true. But only if Sega could make a good collection out of them. The Dreamcast collection was pretty disappointing. I think it may be a little too soon for Dreamcast collections, the technology just isn't there to fit enough games onto it to make a proper collection if the Dreamcast Collection is any indication. And are Saturn games really that much smaller in size, on average? A lot of games using 3D engines on Saturn I'd imagine would be hard to squeeze onto one disc. However a Master System collection would be great to see and they could probably put a ton of games on it.

If they made these collection, what would you want to see on them? I'd imagine all of them would have to be Sega published games if these happened. My choices:

Sega Master System Collection:

  • Altered Beast
  • Cloud Master
  • Golden Axe
  • Golden Axe: Warrior
  • Golvellius: Valley of Doom
  • Hang-On
  • Outrun
  • Phantasy Star
  • Shinobi
  • Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2
  • Sonic Chaos
  • Space Harrier
  • Streets of Rage
  • Strider
  • Wonder Boy
  • Zaxxon 3D (maybe exclusive on the PS3 version for use with their 3D tech)

well , most Saturn games are of a similar size to PS1 games , and believe it or not, most games back then did not fill the whole 600MB on the CD, most games were around 200-300 Megabytes . so even on a 4GB DVD , they can fit quite a few games, nevermind an 8GB DVD or a 25/50GB Blu Ray. as I said I would like a Sega arcade collection , preferably a model 2 collection, a console you can buy easily, an arcade machine less so ,

I would love to see a Saturn compilation more than anything. I also think there needs to be a proper Dreamcast compilation as well.

id rather have an arcade collection you can very easily and cheaply buy a Saturn and some games, its alot more expensive to buy one arcade machine, let alone a number of them

I'd like to see a Mario one, but Nintendo makes too much $$$ re-releasing them individually.

I personally would love to see a compilation of the old PC point-and-click games with updated graphics and features, in the same vein as Secret of Monkey Island.

genesis ultima collectoion 2B-boy

I don't see the point, really the first collection had almost every game Sega made for the genesis. so that means that the classics that didn't make it into the collection are not owned by sega with the exception of the following games: revenge of Shinobi, shadow dancer, outrun, sonic 3 and 2 +knuckles

Forgotten Realms Collection - The best series of dungeon-crawling games. Based on the Dungeons & Dragons universe. They could release em as seperate games but all together, like the Diablo Battlechest or WarCraft Battlechest. They could include Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 & 2, and Neverwinter Nights.Emerald_Warrior

there's already something like this in europe:

baldur's gate collection

Icewind dale Collection

neverwinter nights

as for your ninja gaiden collection, don't forget the ninja gaiden games for the master system and the game gear :D

anyway what I would like to see:

turbografix 16 collection: Bonk 1, 2 and 3. Super Star Soldier, Soldier blade, Legendary Axe 1 and 2, Bloody Wolf, Double Dungeons, Dungens and Dragons: Order of the Griffon, Air Zonk, Neutopia 1 and 2, New Adventure Island, Splatterhouse, Ninja spirit, Devil's crush, Dead moon, R-type, Raiden and Blazing lasers

Turbografx 16 CD collection: Lords of Thunder. Castlevania Rondo of blood, Gate of Thunder. Dragon Slayer, Exile, Fatal Fury Special, Valis 2 and 3, Y's 1, 2 and 3

Sega CD collection: Sonic CD, Popfull mail, Dark Wizard, Dungeon Explorer, Dungeon master 2, Earthworm Jim special Edition, Fatal Fury Special, Final Fight CD, Lunar 1 and 2, Samurai Shodown, Silpheed, Shining Force CD, Terminator, Vay, Wing Commander and Android Assault

Sega Saturn Collection: Panzer Dragoon 1, 2 and Saga. Virtua Fighter 1, 2 and kids. Fighting Vipers, Fighters megamix
