I'm curious because there are a number of ways to name the systems.
I say NESS and Super NESS
while others will say each individual letter like EN EE ESS

The N.E.S is/was just called "The Nintendo" (or regular Nintendo) The S.N.E.S is/was called "The Super Nintendo" with a pronouced tone on the word "Super" to distinguish it from "regular" Nintendo. This was relevant when the N.E.S/S.N.E.S & Gameboy were all on the market at the same time. 1991-1995.
Back during the days of the long wait for the then "Nintendo Ultra 64" to be released...
Really? My NES says "Nintendo Entertainment System".The N.E.S is/was just called "The Nintendo" (or regular Nintendo) The S.N.E.S is/was called "The Super Nintendo" with a pronouced tone on the word "Super" to distinguish it from "regular" Nintendo. I don't think NES or SNES were meant to be pronounced as Ness and Sness. I always called them regular Nintendo and Super Nintendo. It is cool that other people are mentioning that they also called NES regular Nintendo. I am the only one I know who calls it that.
In Spain I've only heard them being named "la nintendo" and "la super nintendo". Not too original:roll:
i say "old 8bit nintendo" or "original nintendo" and "super nintendo" when talking to MOST people. Sometimes i'll call the original "N.E.S." but i dont think i ever call the Super Nintendo anything else. saying "Ess Enn E Ess" sounds strange to me.
Same. I had no idea people actually tried pronouncing the words as they were written until the internet.NES and Suer NES, the same as almost everyone around me did during childhood.
