I liked the RPG elements in the gba games and the two DS games. It makes exploring more fun and worthwhile. I didn't like Order of Ecclesia. However it was nice to see the more streamlined levels before the supposed Dracula castle at the end. Those kinds of levels pretty much eliminate needless backtracking and wandering around that gets tiresome in later entries.
The music and 2D platforming, which seem to have been forgotten.

I've only played a few of the games. Like "Super,""SotN,"and a couple GBA titles. I also liked the difficulty. It wasn't incredibly hard, but mistakes were treated harshly in IV. SotN and it's later incarnations have a decent combat system. I admit, it got a lot easier once I learned Alucard's spells.
When you make threads, you need to add some substance of your own. Typing out a thread title and just having a question mark in your first post isn't good enough to generate discussion.
