I've recently finished this game created by Techland. Well, I had realy good time. Despite it doesn't have a decent plot the world and game mechanics are very fun to mess with. Kinda fell into this Mirrors edge + zombie formula.

I've even created a fan tribute video dedicated to this game. I hope that I don't break any rules posting it here (no commercial purposes).

And what are your impressions about Dying Light?

@raugutcon: The same goes to me. I personaly prefer games with much more decent plor and original settings. However, Dying Light got me because of fun gameplay.

I enjoyed almost everything about the game. Gameplay especially. The parkour mechanics worked well as did the combat. I really enjoyed the leveling up aspects. My main negative was the story made Skyrim seem like a Emmy award winning movie. Which is saying something because Skyrims story is pretty lame.

The coop is my favorite thing. I love that for no reason that you can drop in and play with someone makes the game that much better.

@CTR360: well that is rather debatful. Dying Light is a great game by no means in terms of atmosphere as well as bloodborn. However, there plenty of solid releases coming like Arkham Knight,Wild Hunt etc.

@gooldyg: I really liked dying light and had so much fun playing it , you could say it’s a Far Cry game with zombies even the plot was far better than far cry 4 plus crane’s voice acting was great but for an open world fps dying light is not big enough and it’s combat lacks some real action, I think Techland could’ve done much better with this game

@the_master_race: can't agree with you on that case. I found Far Cry 4 story far better developed as well as characters. Dying Light is just too dull with it. But imho gameplay evens the odds.

Normally we're against users promoting their YouTube channels, by simply posting a video with no attempt to create thread discussion. But since you've made effort to encourage discussion by asking a question and considering users have contributed, I will leave this open.

Dying Light was an average game. There was nothing special about it. It had way too many flaws for it to be considered "good" imo. The combat is meh and repetitive. The quests are all horrid with very few being unique or memorable. 99% of the quests were boring "go here" or "get this" - truly lazy as **** game design. Also the game is way too easy with rarely a single second of challenge.

7/10 - it was fun but deeply flawed

I loved the 80's ambient music during the loading times and exploration. Was a nice touch and gave it a kind of 'Escape From New York' feel. Overall very good game. Not something I would replay however, I felt like it stretched on just long enough.

Dying Light was a decent game, but for 60 dollars i say is not really worth it. the game is basically a regurgitation of dead island with the addition of parkour. I will say however the parkour aspect of the game made the game worth playing. if the parkour wasn't in the game i would have never continued to play it

I recently copped an xb1 with halo collection, shadow of mordor, and dying light, that was about 2 weeks ago, i installed and played dying light first, and thats all ive played in that time(in between work and family time) i haven't even installed the other games. Dying light is keeping me very entertained and is a great introduction to current gen gaming. I think gamespot score of 7/10 is not right.
