Personally, I think both are bad, I can't remember a good movie game, they all are just crap. And movies that were based in games are all just Bad, the only movie that I like was SILENT HILL, but all the others are.......... uff no words to say. With the coming of Resident Evil 3 I just lost my hope and It give me chills when I think of that some movie company is making another Street Fighter live action movie again.
Is just me or I'm the only one who think this. Place your thoughs.

I don't see the problem with it as long as the company making a movie-based game is good and cares about the quality (Bioware making a Star Wars game) rather than a company that is only looking to catch the eye of a blind, ignorant consumer by slapping James Bond or Fast and the Furious on the box and putting minimal effort into endless yearly iterations with nothing more than the goal of making a quick buck to satisfy investors (EA).

Movie-based games are just cheap and quick cash-ins for the likes of EA, Activision, and Ubisoft. However, once in a blue moon a developer is truly passionate about the license and then we get a fantastic game like The Warriors.

same Thoughts, It's the best Game based on a movie. Follows the movie's story perfectly....

If the thought and passion is put into the movie or game, they can both turn out to be very successful and worth watching or playing. I can think of a few movies or games that were as good as their movie or game.

  • Goldeneye 007
  • Resident Evil 1
  • Silent Hill
  • The Warriors
  • Tomb Raider 1

The only problem with Tomb Raider is the fact that they got Angelina Jolie to play the part. I just hate her acting in the movie and think they could have gotten someone better. But, as far as look alikes, she strikes the closest resemblance, and now she is the face of Lara Croft. I mean, anytime I think Tomb Raider I see Angelina Jolie's face.
