I'll quote my self, this is taken from a "Should I drop WoW for Aion" standpoint.

Do not buy Aion. I said "sure why not" and gave it a try.

Waste of 50$. Game feels grindy as hell. Doing the quests feels like grinding. God everything I was doing felt like a grind.

Things in this game feel so primitive.

For instance there is only 2 ranks in guild. You can't even set up guild banks properly, anyone you give access to look in the bank can ninja everything. Dumb as hell.

WoW has had time to develop over the years and make a ton of improvements. Warhammer took a lot of things from that and that was a pretty fun game. Where as Aion just feels like they have ignored all of that and stuck to old korean style.

If your bored of WoW. You will not find Aion a good game to fallback on. Go fallback on Warhammer. I bought that for 15$ and enjoyed it for a month. Where as I dropped Aion in a week.

Also let me add that the Gold Spamming in Aion is god damn insane. I have never experienced gold spamming that atrocious. Every general chat channel is filled with them and you get a whisper every 2 minutes.

It's not bad, very unpolished in some aspects and has a downright awful customer service.

However, i would hold if i were you because the amount of bots is catastrophic and it's downright ruining everything right now. When i say catastrophic i really mean it. You can easily count 50 bots grinding in some areas making you struggle to quest.

Absolutely true! The whispers are insane and bots are everywhere. It's a downright pain in the ass. Plus, they are having a BAN wave. I just got my account Banned for no apparent reason and customer service is slow and uncooperative. The grinding part is also sort of true, although there are very nice stories behind the quests if you have time to read them. The flying is fun, but there is a timer on it. However, flying puts a new side to the PvP, which is much richer than the warcraft, in my opinion.
