I didn't care for FFXIII (pretty much lost interest in the series there) and I have absolutely no faith in Square Enix to remake FFVII without massively screwing it up.
You can always mod the PC verison pf FFVII heavily and replay through it a new way. I'd love a Final Fantasy VII remake but SE needs to prove that they can make a good Final Fantasy game period. So right now...no. And Versus to me was awesome at first but I lost almost all interest.
FF XV please. XIII's lore was boring, and the games used to strive when they were constantly giving the player new worlds. The franchise, imo, is stagnant now because it continues to expand on worlds we already know.
The Final Fantasy tech demo at last E3 told us next to nothing and it was already more interesting than XIII.
Tough question. On one hand FFVII was an excellent game with which I had a lot of found memories for and I'd love to see the game brought more to life with more detailed graphics. On the other hand I really enjoyed FFXIII and FFXIII-2 and would really like to see more of it plus it would be a new experience. I would give the slight edge to FFXIII Versus.
If not then they need to stop the FF franchise for about 10 years.

I thought that's just what they're doing right now since XIII was released?I'm about 99% sure that they will never stop the FF franchise. They will just cotinue to drive nails in the FF coffin until people stop buying them altogether.......whic will jever happen just because of the FF name.
