'Nuff Said. My vote goes for the Wheel of Time. Great backstory, huge world, guilds, a very unique magic system, and great things to kill. I mean, who wouldn't want to go eye to eye (so to speak) with a fade?

I'm with this guy. If done right, there is unlimited potential for this game. If you've watched the series you'll know how extensive this could be....heaps of character possibilities, a fairly deep story, massive amounts of items, weapons, ships, planets. And you've got easy transport through stargates to any planet you wish. Territories to fight over. Evil/Good guys to defeat (depending which side you are on (good - humans, tokra, asgard etc versus bad - Goa'uld, Retu Rebels, Wraith) Ties with Egyptian mythology. Cool space ships and technology. /fanboy rant :PI think they're making a Stargate MMO; which I reckon has promise.

The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind.
Too bad it would only have one Seeker, although becoming a Wizard would be sweet. Mord Sith, Sisters of the Light, Dream Walkers, etc. That would make an epic game.
i think Zelda would make a great MMO, you've already got the character classes (Hylian, Zora, Goron, Deku, etc.) you've got an amazing world (Hyrule, and pissibley Termina, and the Twilight world), and a great back story (the triforce, Gannon, etc.)dante_123456
That is a great idea. I never would have thought of that.
I think something based on the Neuromancer trilogy by William Gibson is screaming for a modern update.
One Piece has interesting world, and the make up of that world is excellent setting for MMORPG.
Also, I'm still quite shocked that Nintendo has yet to make Pokemon MMORPG.
I think Firefly would make a fantastic MMO, assuming that they had monthly 'story' updates (like Uru Online, or whatever) written by Jos Whedon.
Discworld could work, too.
[QUOTE="Planeforger"]It's about time somebody said that. A crazy fantasy world full of humour and where everything is alive.Discworld could work, too.

Lol, that would be nice, I used to play a pen and paper RPG based on Discworld some time ago.

I'm finding it hard to imagine what the gameplay would be like though, whether it's a PVE, PVP, or just some crazy free-for-all orgy where you build stuff and use all kinds of magic. As a fan of the books I can only expect it to be the third option :PPlease Log In to post.
