Bluray?
250GB + ?
3D ?
What do you think?
I think a console should have nice featues but it still needs to be reasonably priced. Dont add Bluray etc if the console is going to have to cost more than £300 (GBP)

I just hope they work closely with developers and give them exactly what they want to make games easy to program and remove any hardware limitations they're currently having to deal with.
Nice big hard drives, base model should be 500 GB, upgradeable to 1 terabyte with an off-the-shelf unit.
If I could plug my cable box into it and use it as a DVR that would be damned nice. Maybe be able to record gameplay footage and post it on Youtube too.
I wanted to be serious for a moment and say something like backwards compatibility. Then the realization of the situation hit me and I remembered that the best thing about next gen is that I won't be in it. So it doesn't matter what the greedy corporate pigs do then.
Xbox 720 and PS4 will both have Blu-ray drives. They are now much cheaper than at the release of the PS3, and there are no cheaper or better alternatives. CPU and GPU will of course be more powerful, they will have at least 2 gigs of ram, depending on how fast the ram is maybe more. Backwards compatibility is a feature MS and Sony are aiming for, but I can see this being droped if it's to expensive. For example, if Sony decides to not use a improved version of Cell, it will be very hard to emulate this cpu. I don't think we will see much bigger harddrives then now. The hdd production was hit hard by the floodings in thailand, that's why prices are very high now, and will be until the end of 2012. Plus, big hdds are not necessary for delivering a good gaming performance, but we will certainly see much bigger harddrives on later revisions.
My wish list would be 1080p with some AA/AF and keep a steady 30 fps at even the most hectic moments. Those and hope developers don't become lazy just because they have more resources to work with.
As long as they keep physical media as their primary means of playing games I'll be happy. Backwards compatibility would be nice too.
They need to incorporate better hardware really.Adversary16
Especially with the new XBox. I like the 360 alot, but I hope Microsoft well learned its lessons with this generation (so far, they haven't totally done so, as the built-in network adapter in the XBox 360 S is weaker than the separate network adapter you can buy).
