Genesis and Dreamcast were both great names. Xbox, Playstation, and GameCube are a little too generic, sorta like calling a car a Drivebox.
Wii has to be the worst. It's been a year and a half, and I still can't get over it. I think the Wii is a great system, but it sounded much better as Revolution. I understand why they went with something as simple as Wii, but I think some other cool yet simple word would have worked just as well.
I agree, I was so surprised when they announced it would be called wii, I mean, I know it's Japanese for "Play", but revolution just sounded so much cooler. All the older consoles had great names, MegaDrive, Genesis, e.t.c.
