My question is what game were you so into that you actually wanted to live in the world where the game was set and be a part of it. I would have to say that the Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask made me feel this way. I loved Termina and all the characters that lived in and out of the town. I dont know why I loved it so much.

Well, I'm not sure I'd want to live in any videogame world. Silent Hill 2 was a rather emotional experience for me.

I like Final Fantasy VIII (PS), Vagrant Story (PS), and Dynasty Warriors 5 (PS2). Also, Silent Hill 4: The Room (PS2) made me feel like I was the main character.:?

Silent Hill 2 and Condemned scared the bejeezus outta me. But, the only two games that actually made me feel like...."WOW"...were Final Fantasy X, and MGS 3. Just thinking about the ending to MGS 3 gives me chills.

A game that has presented a world I would love to live in would have to be the Elder Scrolls series. As for a game that drew strong emotions, it would have to be FF7. I don't want to ruin it for anyone who may yet play it, but when that certain character dies you can't help but feel torn.

But in the end any game where I can rectify any mistake or problem, including death, by a reload would be good.

I agree 100%. I was completely captivated in this world, almost emotionally attatched... it felt so alive, for its time.

Since then, I would say: Shadow of the Colossus, for its amazing ambience of solitude; Deus ex: Invisible war, for the combination of music and scenery for an amazing mellow atmosphere; and silent hill 2+3, for so many reasons that can't fully be explained here.

Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy IX, and VII had amazing storylines and settings. Those are games where I could forget everything around me, and imagine myself being a part of the world they are set in.

Final Fantasy 7, SotC, Halo 3, (specifically when Seargent Johnson gets killed it really was a sad moment for me] Metal Gear Solid, and Lost Planet [the ending]

CRPGs such as Baldur's Gate (1 and 2) and Planescape Torment got me into their stories.
