The game is not yet out in NA but the graphics I've been waiting for in this gen is White Knight Chronicles. Does someone know what kind of graphics it is? I only know 2 kinds of graphics...cell-shaded and realistic.

And I also really like the graphics of FF12. I find it better than those realistic ones.

So I would go (in order)...graphics of WKC, cell-shaded, realistic. I don't really like realistic graphics. :)

The Metroid Prime series has my favorite style of graphics.

It's not quite realistic or cell-shaded because the Prime series has it's own style of artistry.

i like any artstyle that works for game its in. but if i were to pick one game in which i thought the style stood above the rest, it would be shadow of the colossus. the lighting was gorgeous. the color pallette had a somber feel to it. the colossi were both majestic and monstrous. and some people may not like the camera (i never felt it interfered negatively in any area that might hurt you, but thats beside the point), but it made every frame feel special.

some other notable artstyles were included in heavenly sword, no more heroes, metroid prime, persona 3, and twilight princess.

I also like the artstyle of SotC. One of the best!

I love the looks of BIOSHOCK and THE DARKNESS in 1080p. Ive played both about 3 times through, the environments are stunning, both have a "glossy shiny" look about them I love. Makes me feel like im really there, lots of detail.

Considering how bad the framerate was I would agree with that  Surprisingly the game wasn't that detailed with your character looking rather grainy and even the environment look washed out. The Colossi were greatly detailed though.

I'd have to say anything that makes characters look realistic. Even the cell-shaded or anime graphics from games such as Naruto or the new Prince of Persia are good as long as they don't make the characters look half-a-foot tall with 3-foot tall heads.

Sorry to double-post, but I didn't fully answer the question. My favorite graphics are from Ninja Gaiden II and DMC 4 on a 1080i (or 1080p) TV.

i played it on a launch ps3, so i never had those problems. the framerate was silky smooth.

I love the style of graphics in World of Warcraft. It's nice and simple but good on the eye. But on the flip side, the graphics in Metal Gear Solid games and Final Fantasy games are also my favourite.

I like pretty much most any kind of styIe from games like Tales of Vesperia, Dead or Alive 4, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Fable II. My favourite though is Gears of War 2 that game just really impressed the hell out me with it's graphic prowess.

That is really hard to determine as it really depends on what the game itself is striving for. Survival horror games for example while I wouldn't say they NEED realistic graphics, it certainly helps the creepy atmosphere if the area is believable. Other genres it really depends. In RPG's, action titles, or adventure titles the graphics can be of any kind if it fits the theme and mood of the game....if that makes sense.

I like 3D half cartoony, half realistic, just as in Jak and Daxter (the detail in Jak II and Jak X is just amazing, being some of the best in 6th gen), or Super Smash Bros Brawl. In all aforementioned

Another style I like is realistic textures, such as in Little Big Planet. The best graphics for a game considered by manny as a "kiddie game" (which isn't true for the most part).
