I sold all my game systems maybe5 or6 years ago a little after 360 came out to buy newer games when I didn't have a job at the time and I hate myself everyday for doing it since. I wouldn't really call myself a game collectorbut since I have the Wii Virtual Console, I have gotten back quite a few of my games that I used to own but there is a lot that the VC have never released and who knows when or if they ever will. Anyway consoles andhandheldsI have gotten rid of are.

Nintendo (Side Loader)

Super Nintendo

Nintendo 64

Gameboy

Gameboy Advance

Sega Genesis

Sega Saturn

Sega Dreamcast

Playstation

Xbox

Gamecube

I have gotten rid of a lot of games and I'm not going to list them but lets just say I had pretty much every major popular title among people today for every system. You can list games if you want.

I've never sold a system... scratch that, I sold a Dreamcast that I bought for about $5 broken, fixed it, and then sold it. I still have 3 Dreamcasts, 2 working and 1 broken.

I've never sold a system before. I've only sold one game before (Castlevania Lament of Innocence) and I still regret it.

I regret selling my Sega Saturn, I loved playing Mr. Bones and Panzer Dragoon on it.

I had to sell my NES to get my Genesis. Then I had to sell my Genesis to get my Saturn. Then I was old enough to get a job and I didn't have to sell things anymore. I really regret selling the Genesis. Even with the collection released on PS3, there are a ton of third party games that I absolutely loved.

My brother sold my NES collection when I went to the Air Force. Little @#$%. I had like everything you could possibly want for NES then, too. The Game Genie, the big Turbo Joystick, the official NES system and game cleaner, all kinds of game guides and Nintendo Power issues. Plus nearly every good series on the NES:

  • Adventure Island 1-3
  • The Adventures of Lolo 1-3
  • Batman
  • The Battle of Olympus
  • Bionic Commando
  • Bucky O Hare
  • Castlevania 1-3
  • Contra
  • Crystalis
  • Double Dragon
  • Dr. Mario
  • Dragon Warrior 1-4
  • Duck Tales 1 & 2
  • Final Fantasy
  • Frankenstein: The Monster Returns
  • Gauntlet
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Mega Man 1-6
  • Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2
  • Pin-Bot
  • The Punisher
  • R.C. Pro Am
  • Star Soldier
  • Strider
  • Super Mario Bros. 1-3
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 & 2
  • Tetris
  • WWF: Wrestlemania: Steel Cage Challenge
  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

Look at all those amazing titles, many complete series for NES even. And my brother sold it all. Unbelievable...

I'm building it back up, though. Slowly but surely. It's at a mere fraction of what it was, though.

Completely agreed on that good sir. So many awesome games, on that and the PCE...games like The Bonk Games, the star Soldier series, Legendary Axe, and a whole host of other games including some very cool rpgs on the CD add on such as Cosmic Fantasy 2 and Exile. I agree with you on this 100%

I'd love to get my hands on a Turbo or a PC Engine because I've never played them as a kid and I hear great things about them.

I sadly never got to play a TG16 much because my cousin was the only person that had one when I was a kid, and he, for some reason, decided to sell it for like $50.

I've never sold a system but when I was younger if I would get a new system I would usually give their older one to a friend or donate it to a charity. However, I do regret those decisions... My first snes and dreamcast are examples of donations. The systems are not the problem though rebuilding the library of games is what really has hurt...

Maybe your neighbor still has it. Those are rare I hear. As for my TG16 I got one years later, and a CD attatchment and even after that imported a PCE and CD from Japan. So to me I am happy, although an express would be nice...

Yeah the TG16 and the games for it can be hard to find. Though if you have a wii, there are some Cool TG16 games on the Virtual Console that you should give a go!!!

Well I guess when I sold Metroid Prime for the GC. I eventually got the second one for cheap and liked it, so I had to go out and buy the first one again.

The only console I've ever sold thus regretted, was my Saturn but I think it was for the best. I never had one and always wanted one so I bought one cheap at a flea market about a year and a half ago. After the initial purchase I spent very little time with it as many of the good games (at least the ones that I'm interested in) are pretty expensive as are some of the accessories such as the 4 in 1 action replay. I'm a college student so money is a bit tight and I just couldn't "support" the Saturn enough to warrant it sitting around. So I let it go.

As a broke little kid, I thought it was great to be able to trade in systems and games for credit or cash. Now I wish I had never traded a thing = \ Though I have been havin' fun buying boxed versions of some of the consoles I used to own =D The only one I don't really regret selling is the original Xbox, it just didn't do it for me, sorry Xbox fans : (

I don't trade in my games very often, but when I was a younger kid that didn't really play video games, my dad traded in our Nintendo 64 and all of the games we had on it. Such a shame. Plus I have a very minuscule collection of Gamecube games because my dad traded in a lot of those over the years as well.

I bought my little cousin a Dreamcast + 8 games back when they were selling them at KB Toys. He was being a little 'insert word I cannot say here' so I thought to myself well I'll just return the darn thing. So I did. LOL I think I bought him a gift card + socks that Christmas. *face palm* Should have kept the system for myself. I think I paid less than $200 for the whole thing! Wow I would still be playing it today. But honestly, the PS2 was a better system (it had DVD!!!!1!) & greater games. but i'll miss old Dreamcast. And Phantasy Star Online, Shenmue, Sonic, Seaman and all the rest.

Haha. I sold my Playstation 3 times. Boughtone back every time.

I bought one when it was released in 1994 I think it was (Swedish release), sold it two years later to buy an amplifier for my bass. Bought a new one in 1999. Sold it a year later when I moved to another town. Bought a new one in 2003. Sold that before I moved to Thailand.

Now I play my PSX games on my Ps2, but I kind of miss the grey box....

I will only sell a system if I have an extra. I traded one of my Atari 2600 consoles for a Colecovision. I also traded one of my original Xbox consoles for my Atari Jaguar and my SEGA 32X. That was a good trade.

I sold my PS2 and GC to get Xbox 360 games and I regret it a lot. Funny because I ended up getting rid of the 360 after 5 months too.

I've sold or given away all of them except for a PS3, PS2 , DS, PSP, and a broken 360. I don't particularly regret it, life goes on. I've never gotten that big house that I would like to have and space is limited.

I've never sold any of my systems since I know one day I'll have the urge to play a certain game only to realize I don't have it or that particular system anymore.

I regret selling all my game consoles. But if I add to choose one I regret selling the most, I would have to say the sega saturn. Some of the Saturn games I use to own: Panzer Dragoon Saga House of the Dead Albert Odyssey Legend of Eldean Sonic Jam Nights into Dreams Fighters Megamix

All of them... The ones from when I was a kid anyway. Actually I regret selling a bunch of things as a kid. My parents didn't even warn me :(

I gave my little sister my PS2 and Gamecube when I got my 360. I kinda miss my PS2 for games like MGS2, GTA3 and some PSOne classics like Gran Turismo 2, Final Fantasy VIII & IX and the Crash Bandicoot series.
