I think shadow of the colossus could be done very masterfully. That sense of lonliness, solitude and loss.

Fallout would make a nice mini series...

Thief series would be my ideal preference.

Why in the lord's ungodly creation would you want to do that? A game is the better version of a book, why dial it back to something awful? Then again, you could write a novel with the MGS franchise..

A book base off the Resistance series would be interesting.

I don't think games make good books, and books dont make good games. If i really had to choose, it will be Fallout.

I would agree, but there are already books based on these games. There might already be some, but I would be interested in a series of books based on the Metal Gear Solid universe, very rich material there.

If it's given to the right author that has the right writing touch, then either Final Fantasy IV or Chrono Trigger.

A Dragon Age book, but in the style of those roleplaying books where you have to flick from page to page and do battle with monsters and stuff, seriously you should try one they're fun!

Alan Wake. But I suppose Alan Wake borrows so heavily from Stephen King, H.P. Lovecraft, and mystery horror literature in general that one could argue it has already been done. I think most games are too rooted in gaming conventions to make a good book though. The exceptions (Alan Wake, Mass Effect) are already borrowing from TV, Movies and literature.

Condemned would make a great book. I'd also wanna read a CALL OF DUTY book.

Half Life but from the perspective of someone other than Gordon, or Fallout.

I could go for a full-length Max Payne graphic novel. So it'll already have the stuff from the game, then add on the shoot-outs.

Xenogears and Xenosaga, so we could actually finish the storyline. I would love it if they could adapt the game storylines and finish off the rest of the story for both (or at least Xenosaga, as it was the most incomplete).

That is, if they never touch the series again. The visual and auditory elements of the games provide a much richer experience than merely text, but I can't complain if they did complete it as a novelization.

hhhmmm... Manhunt, off the top of my head. Not that I've played the game, but I'm into books with the whole prison/ dementia attitude. There weren't many candidates for this list, though, game stories as a whole are typically pretty weak.

Funny you should mention that... I would like to see the Kingdom Hearts series as a novel, I love that series enough to maybe try and novelize it later myself even if to just satisfy my needs of seeing it in book form. However a book based on the world of Fallout would be pretty interesting as well, or maybe the later games of Metal Gear Solid.

Woah woah woah wait a second? You're trying to say that you feel video games have better stories than books? I'm sorry but you need to read more IMO

would like dofus to be turned to a book, or even better: into a movie! That would be cool :)
