I love breaking out my PS2 to play some old RPG's like Suikoden II and Arc of the Lad III. As well as some Twisted Metal 2, my personal favorite car combat game. And I can't believe the thing is still working but I managed to get my old NES running for some old school Dr.Mario. :)

Played Silent Hill on my Playstation 3 to test out the backward compatibility.

Hard to believe that game is almost 10 years old now.

Well if we are talking about recently, I beat Legend of Dragoon and Chrono Trigger in the past year, just started up Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes so I can go through 1 through 4 again. I guess that's it with all of the new good games coming out, hard to revisit the oldies.

I played through the Prince Of Persia trilogy in preparation for the new game. I founf that the original trilogy was pure gold and still holds up today. But, I have still not played the new POP game.............it just seems too different. Or something.

Aside from the graphics, that game holds up pretty well even by todays standards.

I play my PS2 off and on, mostly the RPGs I still have left for it like Wild ARMs 5, Persona 3, Rogue Galaxy, and Valkyrie Profile 2. I'm also currently playing Zelda Oracle of Ages on my very, very old and rusty Gameboy Color system. I have to have a gigantic lamp right behind me as I play it since I can't see the screen.

New at Gamestop. I guess it was an after Christmas sale, it had $19.99 on it, but he said it was $10.00 off, I'd have paid double that so I didn't care.

I generally find that with all of the games coming, out I just don't have time to play the games like I used to. SFIV, Collector's Edition is coming out in one month twelve days, two hours and twenty minutes. Then, RE5:Collector's Edition is coming out three weeks later. I've got a bunch of PS2 games (around 27 in MGS 1, 2, SFAA, SFAnn., RE4. RECV, REOutbreak, KOF 06, GT 3FFX, FFXII, DQ 8 and more). Not to mention FFAnth., FFCollection, Lunar, Lunar 2, FFT, FFVIII, Chronocross PS games. Then I've got REZero, Spiderman 2, SC 2, Viewtiful Joe 2, MM:Anniversary Collect.ion for my GC but no GC and Sup. Castlevania 4, Sup. Ghouls n' Ghosts, F-Zero, Mystical Ninja, DKC for my SNES and no SNES. So the only system I currently own is an XB360 and I've got sixteen games for it (Halo, Halo 3, Bioshock, GOW, SR, Condemned, MK vs. DCU, Fable II, Burnout:Revenge,.Assassin's Creed, Marvel UA, DMC 4, As for the last two years, I''ve played Lunar:SSSC RE:CVX FEAR MGS3:Subsistence Castlevania:HOD Final Fantasy III UMK Spiderman 3 and more...... That I can't think of right now. but I have no PS2 cause this ***** stole it

On that line I play some Jak and Daxter [PS2] (currently dealing with Jak 3), Civilization IV [PC] (came out on 2005, got it on late 2006 and still play it on early 2009), and The Elder Scrolls IV: OBLIVION (came out on early 2006 [except for PS3, the one I have]), although I just started playing it on late 2008.

Your loss I guess. Actually, other than the tin case, the RE4 Collector's Edition wasn't really anything special. However, the SFIV Collector's Edition will be worth it and I can't wait to see what Capcom has in store for us with the RE5:CE. Speaking of Collector's Editions, does anyone else feel that Nintendo was stupid not to do a TP:Collector's edition??? With a gold colored tin, with an emblem of the Triforce on the front and the Master Sword going through it, a T-Shirt and art book, that would have been pretty sweet, huh???

Okay... here we go... Old School Games....

I have always loved playing old NES games. Aside from the simple controls and cheesy music, I LOVE the originality and innovation from back in the day. There are so many games that can be so addictive with all of only 8 bits of graphic power. I could play Tecmo Bowl with my brothers all afternoon. I love breaking out Super Dodge Ball and beating the crap out of the Russians at the end. Going through Megaman 2 has always been a favorite of mine. I still remember playing Basball Stars for the first time and actually having the power to make my own team, logo, and having a salary to work with on an NES game. Can you believe that? I'm glad that the hackers of today have found a way to make emulators to keep those games alive in todays standards so we may pass them on to our youth. I showed my little brother, 13 years apart, old school Sega Genesis games and got him into Sonic and Streets of Rage. Sometimes, I find him playing the emulators on the PC instead of his PS3 or PSP. Go figure.

I have always had a place in my heart for Final Fantasy Tactics. It was the first RPG that I tried. Little did I know back then is that I would be hooked and forever playing as Ramza and Delita in the world of Ivalice. I even got my wife hooked on that game and she plays it today on the PSP in the FF Tactics: Lions War game.

Playing Super Mario World has been one of my favorites also. I like to time myself and try to beat the game through the star road from the first part of the game. Unlocking all of the secrets and even opening all of the paths. That game really made the SNES.

When you come across a game like that, it's always going to have a place in your heart that you will have to visit every once in a while.
