What happen to the Worms series?!

Since the late 90's and early 20th century, there is no other games like this: It's about Worms battling each other in crazy scenarios with crazy weapons and is accessible to everybody. My favourites is simple really: Worms 2, Worms World Party and Worms Battle Islands on the Wii. Oh also Worms A Space Oddity is also my favourite. Please, be polite in your comments. Thank you.

Did anything happen to it besides it getting sequels throughout the decade?

They're still pretty much the same, there's just a lot of them.

They've been overtaken by things like Angry Birds. And the games themselves are just not the draw they used to be considering innovations in tablet gaming.

A fan of the game on the PC, I think what happened was they kept trying new shjte that, at least for me, took away from the simplicity and beauty of the game. Worms World Party still stands the test of time and I'd gladly pay $20.00 on the PS4 if made available.

Call me crazy, but i liked the Worms 4 game.

I don't remember playing nor being interested in playing anything beyond Worms 2. I'm guessing a lot of people felt the same way.

It went three-dimensional and sucked.

If only they stuck to two dimensions! WHY!?!?!?! WHy did they go 3D?!?!

I wouldn't give up hope that the Worms series might continue. The only thing I don't like is Steam. Why? I don't like to sign in just to play a game. I do like to stick to Worms before the Steam happens. The exception is the Worms on handheld. I don't mind Worms Open Warfare 1 and 2. I did try 3D once and it's is ok. I'm sure they'll improve.

What every happened to the Lemmings? I think over time sales declined and they stopped making them. Same thing with Worms, except there was just a worms game in 2014, so I imagine they are still making them...

They've been making Worms games consistently since it started. They already announced the next one, Worms: WMD.

Also they stopped making 3d ones years ago. They've all been 2.5d for quite a while. The new one is fully 2d

But i think time happened to it, people lost interest and it didn´t manage to renew itself.
