Awesome. EDIT: I imagine BB takes more of your time than money?

I play guitar and some other instruments quite a bit.

I've always wanted to ask someone who plays guitar how they approach Guitar Hero and Rockband. Are you actually at a disdvantage in such games because your natural inclination is to play the toy guitar as if it is a real one?
Or is a non-issue as with driving games and real driving (that there is enough of a separation between the two realities)?

It is no more difficult to play those games having played the real thing, because they share nothing in common other than timing, and that's even debatable. It is certainly a non-issue as it is with driving games.
But I've barely played those games anyway because I just don't like them; I'd rather play a real guitar than pretend to.
Been really enjoying walking/jogging as of the last few week's. Seems to take up more of my time than playing games.

It takes time but it's not so bad. I only workout for a maximum of 1.5 hours per day and I simply wake up earlier than I would if I didn't body build. Cooking and preparing my meals for the next day takes the most time and $. I probably spend on average $100 per month on BBing supplements, $60 on video games, and $25 $50 on blu-rays/dvds. A typical day is wake up at 5:30 AM, workout, breakfast, work @ 8:00, off at 4:00 PM, home by 5, play some games from 6-8 or so, then watch a movie with the Mrs. Could not get any better IMO. What's cool is my wife plays games, loves horror movies, and body builds as well. I am very lucky in that aspect.Probably spend more on gaming that any other hobby right now as I'm saving up for a gaming PC that's going to top $1,000 (only about $500 left to save LOL). I spend more time watching movies though, my wife and I watch a couple every night. Also play a lot of golf in the summer.Â
More than Gaming?
Basketball
Watching stuff on hulu plus
The other thing....think I read a rule saying we couldnt talk about that on here....so uh yeah.....hulu plus and b ball works
Not much other than gaming. I own both a electric guitar and bass, but I'm not a serious musician or anything, just bought them to have fun trying them out and learn a few pieces I like. More personal enjoyment than anything else.
I do, however cycle alot. I love bikes/motorcycles, and I'm actually more comfortable on two wheels than four. Thank goodness I do enjoy riding so much, otherwise my health might not be as good. Between work and riding, I get enough activity that I don't feel bad about totally getting lost in some of these games.
If I found the right group of people tabletop roleplaying with something like Pathfinder or miniature wargames like Warhammer would top video games.
I've never had an interest in any other things.
Sports. I watch NHL, MLB, NFL and any others I find interesting. Most times after work, I turn on the idiot box and find what's airing. If there's nothing 'good', I'll fire up the games. This will be reversed for several months, potentially a year after TLoU, GTAV, Beyond and Deadpool drop. My PS3 is going to see major hours in it's immediate future.
My major hobby is gaming, it used to be Magic: The Gathering but I quit that (for the third time in my life). I do also collect collectables like statues, action figures and the such, but only at the right prices. I also usually wait for price drops on most games, and look for sales on Ebay or on local classifides. I guess I usually do buy a new $60 games at least once a month though.
I couldn't live without music, it brings color into my life, it enhances my emotions, my state of mind. Some of my favorite bands are Radiohead, The National, Interpol, Low, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Wild Beasts, Tindersticks, TV On The Radio, Shack, The Smiths, Pink Floyd.
My wife, shooting, music, and travel all trump playing games. That's not an insult, though -- I love the first two more than my life. Gaming being a distant fifth is a hell of a compliment. Â
The Smiths.

Smiths fan from way back. Ever hear Hatful of Hollow? Favorite album of theirs is probably The Queen is Dead, although Strangeways is very good as well, despite being derided by fans.Â
No, but working out at the gym comes pretty close. Unfortunately I haven't had much time for either since I started school.
I don't know that they trump gaming, but I definitely am really big in to cycling, music (particularly Shoegaze, Trip-Hop, House Techno, Noise Pop), and Anime.

You love shooting more than your life? Like at the range, skeet or hunting?
I wish I could travel, but I am so neurotic I just cannot handle it.
Figuratively, of course. Range and skeet -- it has a calming effect on me. I also reload all of my own ammo, which is as much an art as it is therapeutic. I don't do much in the way of hunting. Going out and killing something, throwing it in the back of your truck, and passing by six grocery stores on the way home always seemed kind of pointless to me and insulting to the animal, especially since cleaning an animal is not pleasant. I'm pretty secure with my proficiency to know I could easily hunt and secure food for survival if I ever needed to, but I don't see the point when I can let someone else take care of all the nastiness. Too busy to go spend three days in the woods with a bunch of people you can't talk to, spraying yourself down with deer piss, and the reward is getting yourself covered in blood and shlt for a few lousy pounds of meat. :)

I don't have Hatful of Hollow itself, but I've heard most of the songs via other compilation albums. Morrissey's lyricism is simply unmatched, the way he sings so effortlessly about things everyone goes through in their lives, the fears and the sorrows and the occasional glimmer of hope...he makes it seem so easy and yet no one's even close to being on his level. Couple that with Johnny Marr's guitar melodies and you get one of the greatest bands in history.
Strangeways is good, hell, Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me is one of the best songs I've ever heard. That alone makes it a better album than 90% of stuff out there. And then there's Girlfriend In A Coma and Stop Me If You've Heard This One Before which are fantastic tunes as well.

Why quit it? I have long sctins of not playing it, but I still enjoy it whenver I can.

"Paint A Vulgar Picture" was also really good.Â
How'd you feel about his solo stuff? It's funny, because in a lot of ways, his solo stuff has been pretty consistent in both quality and consistency. I remember when The Smiths broke up, and I was thinking, "Well, so much for that," but when I heard Viva Hate, there was some amazing shlt on there -- Alsatian Cousin, Bengali In Platforms, Suedehead, and Every Day Is Like Sunday all blew me away.
He even kind of veered into rockabilly a little bit with "Your Arsenal," and it worked really well. "Vauxhall And I" is another standout record.
